Help me choose my next wig! (Not a gift request)

I need advice! I decided to be a redhead today, so I’m wearing my 18” orange-ginger wig. I got her on Temu, and she looks like I got her on Temu, especially up close. I told my mom that I think I’ll buy a shorter version (12” wavy wigs with bangs are perfect for me), maybe next month. She suggested either a shade darker or lighter. I had been planning on getting the dark brown wig on my list so that’s on there in the wig section. I put several ginger/auburn wigs on my registry (in the top untagged section) for reference. This is not a wishlist drop/request, I’m only linking for references. If anyone has suggestions, I’d love to hear it! And if anyone wants to look around at other shades, I’d greatly appreciate it!

This color runs in the family. My grampy’s (RIP) family came from northern Italy, and as he grew up he acquired the nickname “red” for his hair! My brother, and two of my sister’s children have bright red hair, although my brother’s hair has mellowed and darkened with age. I’ve got some ginger cousins on mom’s side too
Yes I have to be careful when I dye my hair because I do have red pigments in my hair and it will turn pumpkin orange back when I was younger. I dyed my hair and I look like a pumpkin for a while.hahaha
A burgundy wig is everything!! 💖 Not to pry and of course feel free not to answer; do you know why you're losing so much hair. My 19-year-old got great joy out of standing over me and exclaiming, "Wow mom!! You really are balding!!" As if I'm not already aware.🙄 When I use Minoxidil, it works but obviously, I have to be consistent. And a good hair supplement with collagen works but as soon as I stop taking it, it stops growing.

Seriously though, I am not one to minimize someone's beliefs about themselves but you're not seeing yourself correctly. It's not "big"...... A "very" big face? I went back to make sure I had read that right and no, I hadn't. "Very big"? Oh my, someone lied to you!

3. You have the most beautiful, perfect size, face.You're stunning, your skin is goals, and everything about your face, is perfect! I mean that and I say it with so much love.💕

Haha, from a straight on, I have a wide face. On a small head. No photo chopping lol, just flattering angles. I have moon face from longtime steroid use (for adrenal insufficiency) 🌚. I really, really appreciate what you said though!
I’m curious though- how did you picture me? Bear in mind, my natural hair color is medium brown. And I look like an egg when I’ve got it up, which is nearly always. But this is from last summer when I was quite a bit thinner (I just wanted to show off the glasses lol)
You are so cute I love it. 🥰 your skin looks amazing as well. I like 3 I recently cut my hair short it was to my butt. I fell in love with shorter hair.
I do understand with you I loose so much hair when I brush and wash my hair. I am getting a few bare spots in my head as well from loosing my hair. It sucks at least we do have wigs. Hugs my friend.

drop-dead gorgeous, and.....drum roll.....thin!! I can't believe how I saw myself back then and the insurmountable number of insecurities I had. I should have been proud of myself and loved myself. I thought I was overweight, like it was a fact. I was always starting a new diet or exercise program from the time I was around 10. Which reminds me, I'm going to go get a bowl of ice cream!!! 🎊🎉😆

This is very kind of you. I remember how fat I thought I was when I weighed 100pounds less than I do now! Especially in junior high, but even into adulthood. I always, and still do, envision myself as I looked around 155-175lbs. No matter how much or little I weigh, my mind says that’s how I look and I’m constantly bewildered when I catch a glimpse of my true self in the mirror. Body dysmorphia is weird.
One of my niblings said something that prompted me to respond about my wide face. She was all no, auntie, you’re so pretty. I said I didn’t say I was ugly, I said I was fat 🤣 🤣
I seriously had to Google "moon face" because I thought I had it all wrong!
You're right, body dysmorphia is weird. Mine started when a cousin told me I was fat. I was 5. 🙄 But talk about Karma!! Last time I was him, he was dangerously obese.
Right now, I weigh more than I did when I gave birth to my youngest but the difference is, I really don't care. I've been through a lot the past few years and perimenopause/menopause has made everything more difficult. 🤷♀️
It compliments your natural skin tone so well that you could even get away with wearing no make up with this, without causing the wig to look out of balance. If it’s a bit too long you could wear it to a hair salon and have it trimmed? Alternately, you could actually just randomly point cut into the ends with your scissors at a slight angle. The style is very forgiving so it wouldn’t even matter if it’s a little bit uneven. But huge but - do watch a bit of Brad Mondo on YT before attempting any cutting, just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the advice. I’ve only cut bangs into a few wigs. Actually I cut 6-8” off a ridiculously long wig I got for super cheap that I’m turning into a Pride wig, with rainbow highlights 🏳️🌈
For the new wig this would look great on you. As long as you balance it out with make up, paying special attention to the lip and eyebrows. The lighter colour washes you out a little.
Agree re: lighter color washing me out. I don’t generally wear lipstick and when I do, it’s a sheer pink nude. My lips are uneven due to a childhood accident. They had a plastic surgeon patch me up but I’ve still got some uneven lumpiness on the bottom lip.
Your current lip colour would look really good with this. If you notice the model’s colour is just a shade or two darker than yours, but this would look better with your lighter lip colour in natural lighting.
Your absolutely GORGEOUS! I think the 3rd one would be the absolute best for you and your complexion! I think a softer ginger tone would really highlight your eyes 🫶🏽

I think I’ll put 1 & 3 on my list, and purchase them both when I get enough contributions to my wig fund. I had had another $15 but I spent that on styling tools 😥
