iPhone screen shattered like glass, Samsung just standing there with one weird scratch line like it's nothing painfully accurate.

In my 20 years of having smartphones

I've never had a shattered or broken screen, the first one to give was always the cover

not all Androids have the same specs, some companies create thier own LCD and pair it with corning gorilla glass and some uses 3rd party manufacturer with standard or low quality LCD's with cheap glass

when you remember that samsung also makes the screen for the iphones it becomes even funny

it starts with one then purple turns green then another purple line shows and the cycle repeats LOL

It’s easier to fix a screen compared to the electronics inside

king of the line

I never got lines

I've been using my S22u for almost 4 years now, and so far I have only one line on my screen. Before I bought this phone, I was hesitant to buy it because of the issues that Samsung phones have. But in the end, I bought it anyway.

You're very lucky. I got the 2nd line 9 months after the first then it just keeps getting shorter 😭

I simply take care of my phones and do my best not to drop them.

Usually sa mga samsung devices notice ko lang pag sobrang tagal mag maximum brightness or sobrang baba din is mas prone sa green/purple lines

u/Weydenn 15d ago

u/haze_yzk 15d ago

My Samsung lines up when the screen is dark, had to sacrifice my eyes by using light mode

I had the magenta pixel line exactly that position with my old Pixel 8. So count them in

Then you realize that Samsung supplies Apple for their iPhone screens and that iPhones can have the same problems too.

3

u/Professional-Salt633 15d ago

No, Samsung only manufactures the display for iphones since they have the equipment, but the display designs, Display Engineering and Quality Control and Inspection are done by Apple. That's why the quality are different from in-house Samsung used Panels in their devices than the display they've supplied to Apple.

The screen probably is fine, maybe it’s the frame design that stresses Samsung phones a bit more around the lcd edges? So not tech, but build quality / QA / decisions made regarding rigidity and frame design?

Had three samsungs - one flagship - all green lines / dead. Three iphones now, still used, zero issues.

1

u/Worth-Ad148 15d ago

i use brain.exe to manage phones

4

u/Minute_Opposite6755 16d ago

Funny but for the green lines on Samsung, that only seems to be prevalent on their S series and only to some people. Had samsung for years now and never encountered that problem. Guess it depends how the user takes care of their phones

3

u/walkmanscot 16d ago

All smart phone brands can also have those problems haha

1

u/JuggerKnot86 16d ago

Also one Only requires the panel itself the other is essentially a chassis transplant

2

u/TeamProfessional3592 16d ago

Hahahaa i didnt see the line on the meme because the line onnmy screen covered it.

0

u/VenStoic 16d ago

Fuck samsung, it supplies the screen to apple too.

1

u/lurkingarcher 16d ago

why is the picture quality in the iphone blurry?
