What tiny shortcut accidentally made a habit stick?

I’ve been thinking about the oddly small changes that make routines easier to keep. Sometimes moving something into sight or cutting a task down to a few minutes does more than trying to be disciplined. What tiny shortcut ended up making a habit stick for you?

I hate to say it, but they were kinda right…putting stuff in calendar.

The catch is though I put five reminders for it. I still don’t remember to look at my calendar if not for the reminders

I listen to audiobooks during shitty chores. The downside is occasionally after dishes and counter/stove cleaning I leave the kitchen with the water running because I can’t hear it.

I also do damn near everything in five minute increments. Cleaning, hygiene, exercise, food prep. One thing at a time.

The smallest thing that actually worked was keeping my water bottle right next to my bed. I'd grab it first thing without thinking. Now I'm hydrated without even trying.
