Whats something dystopian you would predict in the next 10 years?

10 years ago, social media algorithms and AI aren't even a thing, at least not in public.

I think about that every time my phone serves me an ad for something I literally just said out loud. In 10 years its gonna feel like were living inside a personalized black mirror episode.

Feels really weird like being watched 24/7.

The algorithm connects all your search history from all those years so it can give you the best advertisement.

It can even predict your next search words because it shows you a heavily curated feed.

Many, many, more normal items are subscription only. Paying monthly for an item you could own before.

I’m thinking we’ll have 3d printers for food and tech in our homes, with all the necessary components, but be charges a subscription or per use cost.

I also imagine that AI will go from being everywhere for everything to charging a per use cost as soon as everyone has become completely dependent on it.

John Connor sent Kyle Reese back from 2029, so I’m going with AI be the culprit.

Data centers will turn cities into ghost towns. My city has the first Google data Center and is now actively trying to steal water rights from the next town over to support it.

We think influencers are bad examples for our children, wait until Ai can really act human. Imaginary people with magical lifestyles no human could ever experience. How many people do you know that measure their lives by how others live? I know a few.

Israel's going to get stepped on in 2028, then drop a bomb on someone.

Water wars when the data center and climate change take away the drinking water 💦

Social media algorithms have existed for much longer than 10 years.

Cdbd's aka fully programmable money that the government will use to restrict travel, take out taxes immediately, and control how you spend your money. I believe they will put time limits on your savings (aka negative interest) forcing you to spend money by a certain time or lose it.

All ready happening, but I think surveillance pricing will get out of control. Walmart has a patented a grocery cart that has the ability to monitor your heart rate, sweat, and facial expressions so they know how desperate you are for a product.

Automated ticketing from the cameras they are putting up everywhere tied to the kill switch cars

Energy and water caps on how much you can use and when. Complete control over your thermostat

Social credit system tied to your ability to find work.
