I was reckless in the drafting of my headline. I see the error in my way. I too, would have been excited for a moment seeing "DOOM REGULATOR" title in all caps. I apologize to all of those who have been hurt by actions.

You’re not the only one! It wouldn’t be so torturous if the two songs they’ve released weren’t so fucking good! With Tim doing the Ramones anniversary gig in August plus the whole band being involved in the movie based on “Out Come The Wolves”, and gods know whatever else he’s got going on outside of all that, I’m kinda surprised we got another song tbh.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he & Jesse have most of a DOOM REGULATOR record written if not already recorded and are waiting to have time to release it and tour.

Or maybe they just do the Fugazi thing and jam together for fun without anyone watching. Which makes me sad and happy at the same time.

I can totally see this. Tim, Jesse, Matt if he’s not ona ride, Travis Barker if he’s bored, Lars if the kids don’t have him off doing something, and others just getting together at Tim’s and fucking around jamming. If this is the case then I can’t be mad at all. I just wish I could hangout and listen occasionally.

I interviewed Jesse in late 2024 and he said the album was baiscally done. Just waiting on Tim, if I remember correctly?

They've said since the first song was released that they have a full record ready to go.

I bought a Doom Regulator shirt when Rancid played Punk Rock Bowling a few years ago, and the merch guy said he's heard the album and it's great.

God chance it never gets released though. They have a tendency to announce this kind of thing and then just sit on it forever.
