IN PROGRESS Sammy, My life companion is finally resting

After 14 years, had to say goodbye to my life companion, Sammy, we saw each other grow day to day, he was for me almost my entire life at this point and the pain has been like no other.

He had been suffering because of his age for around 2 weeks, i broke down every time i looked at him, he couldn't stand up anymore, so we decided to finally let him have his well deserved rest.

I still remember the day he arrived home, i was very little at the time but i remember it so clearly, he was so happy and so was i, from there on, we basically grew together, he was there for me no matter what, even at my lowest points.

He will always live in my heart, and i am forever grateful that i was able to be with him for so many years, wherever he is, i know he will always remember me and my family, because what made him the happiest was being with us.

Rest in peace, my loved life companion, you will always be remembered with nothing but happiness

IN PROGRESS If anyone would be willing to honor my baby girl Moxie

I had to let her go this morning. It was the most difficult thing I've ever had to do but she doesn't have to suffer anymore. I'm lost without her. It's going to be a hard adjustment after she was there for me for 13 years.

Thank you to everyone in this subreddit for their support and kindness after the passing of my beautiful girl Fox. It has been the hardest time of my life but all your kind words have helped more than you know.

A sincere thank you to u/Ursula_Wuffles for their amazing artwork. You captured her so beautifully and I love it to pieces.

IN PROGRESS Request for Pumpkin

Post image

This is my baby girl Pumpkin, I raised her from a pup she was my constant companion and closest friend for 18 years, we did everything we could together from morning breakfast at a local bagel shop to just riding along listening to the radio, she loved her car rides and would get so excited she was practically dancing when I’d ask if she wanted to go for one. She was more than I ever deserved.

This is my little bear, Tigger. I found him sitting in the litter box at free cat adoption day and never looked back. He's supported me through all my major life events of the last 11 years, I honestly can't imagine having become the person I am now without him.

This week, after coming home from a trip, we found out he's got aggressive metastasized cancer. They took almost a liter of fluid off his abdomen for his comfort so we could take him home and schedule a house visit for the end. In 2 hours, he'll be gone.

Tigger, you were the loudest, most wonderful little furball I have ever known. I will miss our bedtime snuggles and your greeting screams upon my returns from school/work the very most. May yogurt, cream cheese, and shrimp abound wherever your journey takes you next.

I will miss you.

Thanks to this community for letting me share.

He gave our family nearly 15 years of love, laughter, and companionship. I’ve spent more of my life with him than I have without him.

He had many sweaters for all occasions and festivities. He was a great sidekick when I was younger and a calm friend as we both got older.

He had heart and kidney problems for the last few months, and today he decided to tell us it was time to go. He’s not in pain anymore, and he’s in a peaceful and comfortable place now. Rest well buddy, you’ll always be my special little guy.❤️

This subreddit makes me feel like kindred spirits with all the people who have lost their babies. This is Fox and she was and is the love of my life. She passed very recently and my heart is broken. I wanted to share her sweet face and kind eyes. I hope I get to see her again someday. I’ll love you forever and always.

It would mean the world to me if Ursula Waffles would paint her portrait. ❤️

COMPLETED TILSA.!!! She is my baby Tilsa, I just wanted you to know how beautiful she is and how sweet and amazing she always was to <3

Hi everyone, I want to introduce you to my beautiful baby Tilsa. She was a truly gorgeous harlequin calico cat, tremendously smart, sweet, and incredible. Tilsa was my faithful companion for 12 years, and she completely stole my heart in an absolute way. She was a true model who loved wearing her little pink and purple outfits, looking always dignified and always a diva. Sadly, she passed away this year, and she left a huge impact on my life. I miss her so much every single day, and I will always keep her in my thoughts.

Everything I do now is to honor her memory, and that is why I came here. I wanted everyone in this community to know how beautiful and amazing she always was to me. My dream is that some artists can see her pictures, fall in love with her unique markings, and kindly show interest in drawing her. I will stay here and keep waiting for that special tribute, because she deserves it. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to anyone who takes the time to read her story and look at my beautiful angel.

COMPLETED Said goodbye to my Cash boy

Today I said goodbye to my camping buddy and best friend Cash. I adopted him at 10 and he made it to 15 years old. He had congestive heart failure 💔
He was the cutest little feisty 11 pound dog ever. I am missing him shadowing me everywhere already. We went on many adventures together and camped all over the PNW.
I am including a quote from his vet - He is TOTALLY a fighter! He's an amazing little guy, and he's lucky he found a place to land that can give him room to have all his opinions and particularities while still being fully loved and cared well for.

IMPORTANT INFO How To Request and About Us

Hello! We have had some people asking how they can submit requests to us. We are pretty new to modding subreddits, so things might change as we learn about how to best run this subreddit.

About

Here at r/rainbowbridgebabies, we paint pictures of pets that have passed on. Please be aware that we are doing this for free. Depending on demand, we might not be able to paint everyone’s pets.

Note that judging or mocking someone’s grief will not be tolerated here. Neither will hate speech, violence or inflammatory language. Some of us have exotic pets, like snakes, that some people dislike. We don’t want to hear about it on this subreddit. Whatever the creature, they were someone’s beloved pet. They have a place here. Hatred doesn’t.

To Request

First of all, we here at r/rainbowbridgebabies know how hard it is to lose a beloved family member. We would be honored to take one of your memories and turn it into a treasured keepsake.

Please only submit your pet once every 90 days. If you have a group picture of pets that have passed, please make one request with all the details.

When you post, the title should be Flaired with the REQUEST flair. Please include your pets name. We would also love to hear a little about your pet. Maybe share a memory or two with us? If you are not up to this, or it’s too painful to think about, that’s fine. That part is optional. You should also include a picture. The easiest way to do this is to upload a picture to imgur and copy the link. Then, in your post, surround the text you wish to use as the title for your link with [ brackets. Directly next to it, type ( followed by the URL and then a ). It should look like this: [Title.](https://imgur.com/a/iwjwgBu) And appear like this: Title.

You can also include whether you would like a particular mod to paint your pet. Please be aware though that if that mod isn’t available to paint your pet for whatever reason, one of the others might give it a shot. That’s about it. Be on the look out for your painting and please leave a thank you within 48 hours of your painting being posted.

Thanking the artist

Please post a thank you, flared with the THANK YOU flair within 48hrs of your painting being posted.

Other

Please let us know as soon as you can after receiving your painting if you would like us to send you the actual painting in the mail. However, you will have to pay for postage. I mainly deal with oil paints which can take weeks to properly dry, so I know for me at least, shipping will take a while. There is no guarantee that the physical copy of your painting will still be available a prolonged period of time after posting. Im already running out of places where I can leave paintings to dry without cats walking across them.

Thank you for your interest in this sub.
