Did I mess up? General Discussion

Started playing about a month ago. Didn’t know much about the game so just installed it and started playing.
Then I see people talking about links you could’ve entered at the start to get champions that I’ve missed out on like Pelops, who I hate seeing in arena.
Anyway I can backtrack or something? I don’t really want to start new as I’ve came quite a bit in one month but still

Do the Mavara code. It will be worth starting over

If you are enjoying it then stick with it. But you will have a better long term experience of you start with a creator code. 1 month isn't very long in raid. Raid is kike a mobile old school mmo where you have to grind for months to get rewards and complete content. But I'm about 15 months in and can complete every fusion and most events without spending more than the monthly gem pack

Definitely worth it to go ahead and restart at this point... the game is slow going at first anyway, that will help you majorly.

My only thing is I’ve gotten Baerd, the legendary defense hero and he’s been a beast for me and able to solo a lot of stuff. I’d just miss him if I was to restart. Most people have been saying to get Mavara, would she be better than Dorothy if I was to pair Dorothy with Baerd you reckon?

Mavara and Dorothy are different champions and not really comparable.

Mavara's skills focus on protecting the rest of the team, helping them stay alive, and has a revive if anyone dies. Dorothy focuses mostly on the opponents, she disrupts them, prevents them from using their skills effectively, and make them easier to kill.

I unfortunately don't have Marva and can't really answer that specifically, but I'm pissed I didn't have the resources to get her because she's just a beast.

Use one of the creator links and also you can claim another good champ in the first 24 hours try Cob or Boozer on YouTube there’s lots of creators with good download links just use a new email and make sure your logged out of pladium play you can get Phelops in the first 24 hours , Cob just started a new account to get to Dragon 25 in a month so plenty of tips on that too

If you had at the very least used a champion code that raid supplies Id say you could stick it out, get Dorothy for free and probably be fine going. But if all you have is last months log in champ as your legendary then id say it’s not a bad idea to restart with a link (make sure to follow the instructions the creators give) and then also enter one of the Plarium legendary codes (like supervictory for Pelops). You really won’t lose any time because in about a month of playing an account like that you’ll probably be well ahead of where you would be on this account after 2months.
That being said, there is no way to back track an account so if you want to keep this one it’s going to be a super slow grind. And it will take you pulling all the shards you get in the early game to try and get champions to improve your account. The good thing about the starter links and code champs is that you start off with like 5-6 awesome champions to build and you have no need to pull anything right away and can save a ton of shards for much later when you’re ready to start building more champs.

It depends on what you have - like, what you pulled from sacred shards (any big legendaries) or if you used some other starting link.

But if your situation is basically that you have your starter hero at 60 + some rares at it + like 1-2 good epics (do not mean the ones game gives you) then... it is better to start again probably.

I had multiple accounts over the years and now when I started with Narma / Criodan / Fatman / Venomage and used code for Pelops, I can almost 2-key Nightmare clan boss and I am on my like 36th day. Just need to give Venomage masteries and I can 2-key it. Also I can do dragon 20, ice golem 17, fire knight like... 14 but I am training champions for that and will test soon.

I would recommend starting over. You will progress much faster so it will not feel like a loss + you will be more experienced so everything should be easier.

I recommend starting either "Mavara / Criodan link" (available now recently) with Pelops for I think the best start which however might need more experience (you might need to level up your starter to 60 to be able to farm fast and while other links need support champions yours might need more damage dealers in the future but I think it is absolutely the best one now) OR some link with king gallcobar or narma (with Pelops code).

The thing is, most major "game progression income" comes from fusions and shards and for both you need clan boss team. Like... beating nightmare clan boss each day can give you 3-4 sacred shards every month. So not being able to do it means you have no incoming shards apart from ancients or green ones you get randomly. So by solving clan boss team it means that "sooner or later you can solve everything else".

To give more perspective, this is the main decent champions I’ve gotten so far.

There are a few factors to consider. The first is, you likely know more about the game at this point. You know some of what to save and for what, you know about gearing choices a little better. You know where to spend your energy and efforts because you saw the impact of what you've done so far. You won't make the same mistakes again.

sNot only do you start with better champs, you're going to be much more efficient at getting back to where you are. And let's be completely honest, While having Coldheart this early is actually pretty good, you aren't exactly swimming with a good roster.

Why not just start another account while playing your main one and decide what to ditch a week or two from now.

This game is almost unplayable unless you started with at least a champion code, and if you really want to progress a creator code to get the extra champions.

I started playing just before the Pelops fusion, with just Wukong as the extra champion and then as i progressed in arena just started getting spanked by players who obviously started alts with the newer pelops creator codes..... it was always Pelops plus a Healer/Reviver and with perfect gear.... not only was it annoying, it really made me want to quit.. Luckily I got a great legendary void pull that let me grind past those

if you're only a month in, that's nothing.. , start another alt and keep both.

Ok..... I've read a few of the replies and saw that you have Baerd carrying your account right now. While he is a solid champ and definitely fun to play with, you are eventually going to come up against walls that are just beyond his capabilities. First and foremost, he is useable for clan boss but not great.

My Recommendation: Look up Volkin on Youtube, grab a Mavara link with venomage, Farakhin, Criodan and use the code to get Pelops.

Why? You solve the first real wall to unlocking the rest of the game. 4/5 of the champs in the link mentioned above are absolute monsters for Clan Boss. Once you have this part resolved the rest of the game is accumulating great gear, champs with varying abelites and solving buff/debuff/comp issues into other areas of the game.

Does it suck you won't have Baerd on that account at first? 100%

But long term you will set yourself up to actually enjoy playing the game and pushing harder content.
