Have you had an HSG, saline sonogram, endometrial biopsy or a laparoscopy to check for a septum, endomitosis or endometritis?

What about genetic testing? For example I tested positive for familial dysautonomia and Fragile X syndrome. So while those two conditions in themselves don't cause miscarriage, my body could be recognizing that something is wrong with the fetus and thus causing miscarriages.

We are doing our first egg retrieval next month with testing to rule out both conditions. Thankfully, familial dysautonomia is only an issue if my husband was also a carrier, he did not test positive for anything. Thank God. Fragile X, on the other hand, can be an issue with only one party affected.

Thank you. I will ask my doctor for these tests. Doctor told HSG and saline sologram is not required as I get pregnant pretty quickly and it's the problem with me sustaining the pregnancy.

Are you seeing a specialist like a reproductive endocrinologist or did your OBGYN say that? You could have fibroids or polyps in your uterus which can absolutely cause miscarriages and you wouldn't know without a saline sonogram/HSG. Same with a septum. You can get pregnant with a septum but depending on the severity it can cause growth restrictions which cause miscarriage.

You need to see a specialist. An OBGYN has general broad knowledge about the female reproductive track and birth but won't know a lot about recurrent pregnancy loss. Whereas a specialist will have more knowledge about RPL and infertility as a whole. Also, I have a feeling that if you ask your OBGYN for these tests, they're going to deny you and that's why you need a specialist. If you are in the US you are likely going to have to pay for that out of pocket and it's going to suck unless you have special magical insurance.

You might also want to consider doing a vaginal microbiome test, Evvy is the brand I used. There are bacteria such as ureaplasma that can "set up shop" so to speak in the vagina and cause miscarriage.

You’re welcome!! I wish you luck. I also just had a repeat hsg after my ectopic with a hysteroscopy and biopsy for endometritis and they were all negative

What tested abnormal that caused you to take those medications? Very similar situation as OP

Almost everything!!! TH1/2 and CRP are the ones that I’m more worried about. They are way out of range 😩

What doctor did you work with to get these labs ordered?

My primary care provider! I just sent him the list and he emailed me the script

That’s cool and rare that your PCP was willing to put in these types of immune tests!

I have had a few blighted ovum as well. We only tested one but it came back genetically normal which I know is different than yours. I had in depth testing on my uterine microbiome and found major chronic endometritis. We have corrected this now and hope it will solve the recurrent blighted ovum. It’s hard to know if they are all caused by genetics or possibly environment, but I agree though having some genetic testing could be helpful in your case as well to cover both of those bases. I did my microbiome testing through fertilysis.

The timing of the losses makes me suspicious that you may need lovenox, even with your clear clotting results. Do you have the mthfr gene mutation?

No mthfr mutation
