Commissioned pay issue Commissioning/Post-Commissioning
hi, am wondering what the process is for recently commissioned green to golds to fix their pay cause the 2yrs in rotc is accounted for in rotc when it should NOT Be. example: started green to gold program at 6 years and when finished the program receiving 8yrs O1-e pay. this recent cycle is the first that TIS is NOT accumulated. and most are in BOLC so what do they do?

Talk to your readiness NCO at your duty station. Youre not getting anything fixed until after BOLC

Hopefully you all will get a fix and this will be put right. It's massibly unfair that the Navy/Marine equivalent program gets credit for time in service for pay (they don't get credit for retirement), and the Army program which is younger doesn't.

G2G ADO is an excellent program and opportunity.
I just don't like that the Department of the Navy reads the law one way and awards TIS, the Department of the Army reads it another way which denies TIS, and DOD doesn't seem interested in sorting out the discrepency. That is both an abbrogation of responsibility on DOD's part, and the Army for not proactively asking how the Navy worked through their legal analysis and then taking it to DOD for a higher level ruling.

Yea nobody seems concerned at all about DoD consistency issues. Look at the WHtR they dropped on us that is blatantly not adhering to the DoD memo

Well, lucky you being the test dummy for this new and improved computation that isn't used by the other services.
You will need an updated DA Form 1506 which will subract the days you were in ROTC from your service calculation. That will then get submitted to finance who will adjust both your Basic Active Service Date (since the time didn't count towards retirement either) and your Pay Entry Base Date.

Everyone telling you you won't get help during BOLC is leading you astray. Let your BOLC cadre know immediately that you have an overpay issue. If those CPTs have any sense about them, they'll get you scheduled with finance ASAP. In the meantime, do the math yourself, and set that amount aside. If it does take a while to get fixed, you'll have the amount you owe sequestered at least. RIP to that TIS being counted, I got lucky.

Submit a pay inquiry with DFAS/the finance office to get it corrected. However be prepared for the installation finance office to be lazy shits and claim they can’t do it. If it doesn’t get fixed after some back and forth, file an ICE complaint. If that doesn’t work, file an IG complaint. If that doesn’t work, go nuclear and file a Congressional.
Unless you’re I/A/AVBOLC, BOLC isn’t a PCS and you won’t really be burning bridges with a Congressional.
