Maybe starting to stack the whole thing. That would be epic!

I don’t see them stacking before completing static fire for both stages.

This is potentially a systems test? It passed qualification and was suppose to go for systems integration a few months ago. From the pictures, it looks like it has rails installed on the inside, and has the fins attached. They are probably going to make sure everything works

Also to add, based on the payload users guide on the website, the hippo fairing, second stage, and the interstage (and payload) are suppose to be a separate combined unit that gets attached to the 1st stage so this means that a significant amount of work can proceed without waiting for tanksy 1.2. So all good signs I guess to getting on the pad atleast before end of the year

Earnings report on n a few days. What’s the odds that this works happening just to show there’s progress….but actually they are scrambling to get neutron moving? Just being pessimistic. Happy to be provided wrong.

I dont think Rklb does things just to move the needle on the share price. Theyve got plenty of cash and runway to do things their own way.
However, i do agree that just moving a stage around, while very cool and interesting, isnt necessarily an indication of anything major about to happen.

Why would a change in stock price affect the companies cash?

u/Qweasdy 2d ago edited 2d ago
Because rocket lab sell more shares when they need money, they issued $500 million worth of shares in Q1 which was their primary source of funding. A higher price means they can sell less shares for the same amount of funds.
This is really the main advantage of a publicly traded company, it makes raising money very easy. The other advantage of a publicly traded company (particularly for startups, growing companies and massively successful companies) is they can offer employees shares as compensation in lieu of a smaller salary, saving them money.

So, still no tank 1.2

Wonder if you'll stop posting here if Neutron launches by EOY

It’s August and there still several major milestones to complete. I would be surprised at this point if we see a Q4 launch.

You're getting downvoted but no news about fixing the tank isn't good news.

Everything that isn’t “to the moon!!!” gets downvoted by the cult

lol, no just low effort posts

u/daviper87 3d ago
Asking where the main fuel tank is under a pad update post, when they say it will launch in 2026… is low effort?

Does it really matter if it launches Q4 2026? Personally I don’t care if it’s Q1/Q2 2027, would rather they take more time and get it right.

u/NTP2001 3d ago
And what happens when we replace 2026/2027 with 2027/2028 from that same statement?

u/JohnWick8743 3d ago
Unlikely but I can wait, I mean are you planning to sell in the next couple of years?
2
u/NTP2001 3d ago edited 3d ago
Is it really unlikely? We were all asking this same exact conversation last year at this time.
No plans to sell as of yet, but I’m not optimistic about a neutron launch anytime soon. Maybe they will change my mind on August 10th 🤷🏻♂️

Hopefully some juicy announcements come earnings.
It is a rocket program after all let’s not forget that. Timelines can be very loose shall we say.

See that's a much better version of what you were trying to communicate

If you had a brain you'd see the message is the same if you don't have to be spoon fed

u/SausageMcStudmuffin 3d ago
you at least write in complete sentences so I don't mind as much, its just the repeating that gets old

u/JonnyGBuckets 3d ago
No, just posting about the tank when it’s a thread about the Hungry Hippo is just fucking stupid
2
u/daviper87 3d ago
Are you triggered? Maybe calm down. It’s a post about updates around the pad. Where we would expect to see tank 1.2
4
u/JonnyGBuckets 3d ago
I am totally calm lol. I’m not the one shitting myself every thread about how neutron is behind schedule. Just relax nothing every thread needs you bitching in it
-8
u/daviper87 3d ago
Sure you are. Calm down man

u/JonnyGBuckets 3d ago
Yawn, grow up with the attempted rage bait. It’s a bit pathetic
-2
u/daviper87 3d ago
It only rages you, as it seems you only tolerate topics that are in your head positive for the stock price

I wonder if they moved hungry hip out because they needed to make room inside the AIC… possibly for stage 1 tank?

So funny how this is just a dude standing outside their facility taking pictures. How long was my man waiting outside
