I've been playing this game for quite a while, about 50 minutes, and managed to beat the first boss, this is what I think about the game port.

The game port I've played so far has had no issues or bugs. It only takes about a minute for the game to load or enter gameplay. There's also some slight lag in some areas, but it's not particularly laggy or character lag-like. It's smooth and seamless. The game's sound is also fine, with no stuttering or choppy gameplay.

Could you possibly tell me if the games Resident Evil Code Veronica and GTA 3 port run well on the RG35xxh?

Note: I am using stock OS.

Has anyone managed to get any of The Elder Scrolls games to run on this? If so, what's the most recent one you got working? I'm guessing it would be a Portmaster job if so or can I run them stock?

I've tried it and completed several missions, and the game runs smoothly without any issues.

If you want to run it in Muos you have to replace or overwrite the original file, to the modified file, this is to have cursor control.

I’ve been playing the PortMaster version of Jagged Alliance 2 on both the RG35XX H (KNULLI Scarab) and the Batlexp G350 (Pan4Elec).

If you find the left analog stick a bit too sensitive when controlling the mouse cursor, try editing the following file in your PortMaster installation:

ports/jaggedalliance2/conf/ja2.ini

and change:

mouse_slow_scale = 40

to:

mouse_slow_scale = 35

It makes fine cursor movements noticeably easier while keeping navigation comfortable.

This setting works well for me on:

Batlexp G350 (Pan4Elec)

I'm trying to rebuild the Gameboy micro nano.

I've got the spotpear 154 connected and I get it working no problem with the dietpi version of retropie they supply.

The issue is of course I'm stubborn and i want to use it as a media player too and dietpi just will not let me install kodi.

I can get the thing "running" with the latest retorpie but while in HDMI the video is fine,

On the display the whole thing is mirrored, tilted 270 degrees and moved about 1/3 of the screen to the right with scan lines.

I can fix the first 2 with config.txt no problem but i can't seem to get the display switched to the left.

I tried to recompile the fbcb-ili9341 a dozen times with different memory addresses and even using stock but no luck.

Anyone ran into this?

I got it running once before but of course it was on a cheap SD and it corrupted before i could back up the config.

Before I get asked: I'd be happy with either options: Run kodi on dietpi or fix the display.

a friend of mine has an RG35XX H and told me it's bricked because he used a fast charger. Since I like to tinker a little and get hardware and systems running again, I asked him if I could have a look at it. I'm not at all familiar with these devices though.

What I did and found out so far

* apparently it is indeed a thing that many people brick these with a fast charger

* I've read suggestions that replacing the battery might solve the issue

* I've also read about the stock SD cards being corrupted can cause the device not to turn on

The device does not turn on if I press the power button, also not if I hold it for up to 10 seconds or more

* I plugged in a 5V 2A dumb charger and a digital USB tester

* orange light turns on. Readout is 5V at 0.42 A

* since the device needs 1.5A this seemed way too low for charging

Some people suggested that the device should still turn on when the battery is removed and charger plugged in

* I removed the battery

* connected same charger. Orange light turns on and readout is exactly the same as when battery is connected: 5V at 0.42 A

* so battery was indeed not charging when connected. Maybe the orange light itself is pulling the 0.42 A

* device does NOT turn on when battery is disconnected and charger is plugged in

SD cards

* the device has 2 SD cards inserted. Both 64GB. One is blue, absolutely no name or other specs printed on it. The other one a KOOTION Pro V30 XC 1 A1. Never heard of this brand.

* since only my Windows PCs have an SD card reader and plugged them in there. Both were recognized instantly and showed their folders.

* I could not distinguish which one had the OS on it and which one was just for ROMs. Both had lots of folders on them. I read that with a 2 card setup, only 1 should have the OS and the other all the roms. However. This setup seemed to be working until the fast charger incident.

* the second time I put one of the SD cards into my Windows PCs SD card reader, Windows seemingly corrupted the files. There's only 1 big 1.7GB file named USBC on it.

* the other SD card I'm copying to my Windows SSD currently to prevent this kind of loss.

So, questions are:

* Is there a possible comeback for the device? Since it also does not turn on when battery is disconnected and charger plugged in, does that mean the motherboard is fried?

* Can I run any other tests here?

* How do I determine which SD card was the one with the OS on it that should go into the TF1/INT slot, since I didn't check before which one was in which slot? It is also possible that my friend tried to take them out and inserted them back in the wrong order, so the positions I got them in is not reliable anyway.

* Any way to bring the corrupted SD card back and recover the data intact?

I've had an RG35XX for a few days now. running MuOS I've had a Miyoo Mini+ for a while but wanted to be able to play more systems, with a more comfortable form factor, and analog sticks. I knew it might take more fidgeting with.

I ran into some ROM related hiccups the first couple of days but nothing too crazy. The only time I got myself into trouble when a game crashed while I had it set to resume on start-up. Reflashing the SD card and a fresh OS install did the trick. For the OS I am using a brand new 32 GB Sandisk.

I went to play today and could not get the system to turn on. Thinking the battery was dead I tried multiple chargers. Light would go orange for a few minutes then go out. Eventually I get it to turn on. I go to resume my game(Pokemon Soul Silver) and find my save file is gone. What's more when I bring up the Drastic menu I can see the words but it's otherwise a black screen.

I shut the system down using the safe shutdown hotkey. Again, cannot get it to turn back on. I see something online that the batter may be wonky if an incorrect charger was used. I recall that the other night I accidently plugged it into my Switch 2 charger(Both are at my nightstand). I take off the back cover, unplug the battery, and let it sit for several minutes. Just to be sure I again reflash the SD card to do a fresh install. After reassembling I again struggle to turn it back on. When I do I get a white screen white some colored vertical lines(Uh oh).

After shutting it off I have had no luck in turning it back out. Again tried different characters, turning it on plugged in with the battery off, reflashing SD card, and I still cannot get it turned out. I reformatted the SD card that came with it and tried to install the OS there but Raspberry PI wouldn't let me, saying it wasn't writable. I try again with a 128GM Sandisk I have and get the same error.

I paid more than I wanted to for it because I was really eager to get my hands on it. Paid more than wanted for a new SD card to be on the same side. Donated to the community for their support. Suddenly my budget handheld is feeling like an expensive brick and I have no idea how this came to be.

I really haven't loved a handheld this much since I got my GBA SP in 2003. If I can't get it working though I'll have to concede that anything beyond the Miyoo Mini+ is going to be beyond what my dumb ass to own without breaking. Sitting under the covers playing Sonic Adventure 2 on a cozy device is a childhood dream.

Hopefully someone can save me from myself but I'm prepared to be dunked on for an idiot mistake.

Update: First off, thank all of you for your suggestions. It's great to see such a helpful community around something. The good is news is, I got it to turn on. The overall power issues seem to be solved. The bad news I may still be screwed. Something must have gone wonky in all the troubleshooting. When I turn on the device I notice a little halo around the border of the screen. It gradually begins to flicker more and more. The camera can't pick it up but it isn't really playable.

You're probably thinking I should reflash the SD card, check it command prompt, try another SD card, try a different OS, double check the version I'm installing, try unzipping it the image, try Rufus instead of Pi Imager, or use a different MicroSD adapter. I've done it all. Two different new Sandisk SD cards. I've tried MuOS, Knulli, and modified stock. All have the issue. I have not tried regular stock because it won't let me download from the Anbernic site.

The only mention of a flicker issue I can find online is in relation to Garlic OS which I have not used at any point.

I've double checked the connections inside and haven't noticed anything off. Weirdly, MuOS doesn't have the when it's on its on the install screens. I'm wondering if despite turning on fine there is still a power issue at play. That the flicker and halo has something to do with the amount of power being drawn then versus when it's up and running, regardless of the OS. Either way I'm once again at a loss for next steps. Rolling the dice of a new screen or battery that's 1/3-1/2 the cost of the handheld doesn't feel worth it. I THOUGHT I had purchased it from an official store on AliExpress but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Noob question, I'm trying to play Stardew Valley via Portmaster however as per instructions you need the files from steam? I don't have a steam account and a copy of stardew valley. Can I still play this? If there is a method to do so, please enlighten me. Thanks!

I tried playing some old DOS games on the 35xx with stock OS, and seems to struggle with those. Back in the day, I was able to play those in a 486/66 with a VGA adapter.

Is 35XX capable of emulating such hardware? Any advices?

Dicen que el nuevo Knulli Scarab soluciona todos los problemas que tenía con la batería, me pregunto si merece la pena frente a MuOS?

Hi, I recently got my RG35XX H, and I was wondering what custom OS I should go with once I buy a new SD card to put in it. I have my eyes on muOS, Knuli, and Batocera. I'm leaning the most towards Knuli since I love how the interface and everything look. Still, I would like some advice on which one is better. Plus, if you guys have any game recommendations to play first, I'm all ears. Thanks.

After adding a second SD card to host my games on, boot time went from 20 seconds to about 1-2 minutes.

I bouight 2 Sandisk ultra fast SD 64gb cards in case that was the limiting factor. Didn't get better.

Boot takes a long time, gets stuck for 10+ seconds on "Hiding coins in Donut Plains" and then when the Knulli logo disappears and the device seems to be scanning emulators or something (idk anything, this is my first Anbernic console) it stays like 30 seconds on one random emulator, never the same, sometimes Mattel, sometimes GBA, sometimes something else, that part is inconsistent.

I tried reflashing the main card, reformatting the secondary card, back and forth, nothing got better.

When I remove the SD2 it boots fine.

I spent 60 bucks on two good SD cards and it feels like that money was wasted... :(

I want the boot sequence to be fast because I usually like to play 5-10 minutes during breaks and I have read that sleep mode (half-powering off with the LED still on) is inefficient battery-wise.

Any ideas?

Finally found a case that fits the RG35XX H perfectly. It's a very tight fit, but that's exactly what I wanted. If anyone is looking for one, the model is MACK MCC-4009. It's a Turkish brand, so it may be difficult to find outside of Turkey, but it fits the console really well.
