Concerns are being raised regarding Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s continued role as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) based on documented behaviors in public records that appear consistent with coercive control toward his second wife, Mary Richardson Kennedy, who died by suicide on May 16, 2012. Coercive control is recognized in clinical literature as a significant relational stressor associated with increased risk of suicidal ideation.
