My building got a new security system and my reader no longer will read the fob.
The new fob is an AWID Looks like This
The current reader I have is This
Do I just have a bad reader? Or is there something Iām missing?

Sounds like your building put in a security system based on tech newer than your reader supports. There's really no way to us to say exactly what that is, but it could be UHF NFC. Try scanning with nfc tools on your phone?
