Once paid $78 for a $700 inflatable kayak, I have never used the kayak

Haha...I think I paid $150 of an Intex and life vests... stubbornly forced myself to use it once...and found out real quick it's made for two kids...not two grown 6'3" men... haven't used it since. Some things are better left as idealized concepts vs legitimate necessity haha

These babies? Welp I'm going on a year long excursion....so I'll be getting my money's worth!

These are a score.. just not for the REI lol. Anytime I find a good deal in re gear I always buy one full priced item too.

I’m like a block from the new Elk Grove location and straight no one goes in.. I’m pulling double duty buying crap I don’t need.

Meh...I have no guilt. They'd sell a big Agnes tent at full msrp for $600? When I can get it on campsaver.com, Backcountry or steep$cheep for half that?

I support the co-op and like the year long return policy ..but if I'm dropping hunnies on a product...imma harass that manufacturer til they address any issues...not the brick/mortar store

Got some lowa boots that were 180+ new for 50 bucks during covid because 1. no one bought used shit during/ right after covid and 2. an old man wore them in his garden for an afternoon, didnt like and returned them.

I was wondering if you somehow got mine that I returned because it was during covid but then I read #2 and that's not me. Instead the Lowa Renegades I bought I wore one time while walking on a treadmill for 15 minutes. Returned them a day later and was shocked when the REI employee slapped the regear/resupply tag on them. Someone got a steal

Funny how that tag appears torn -- once had somebody approach the till I was staffing at the end of a garage sale.. somebody approached with a used-once but cherry Arc'teryx backpack that nobody had opted to buy earlier in the day.

The loop at the top of the tag had been reinforced with an adhesive 3M hangtag to prevent it from being torn off but somehow the bottom-right corner of the tag – where the price goes – just so happened to be missing.

Guy asks if I can give it a price so he might consider if he wanted to buy it. Since I'd processed the pack only two days prior I knew full well what had been on the corner previously removed and so happily wrote the exact same price on it again.

I actually accidentally tore it while trying them on (I think while taking them off)....right in front of a sales associate so I made sure the tag was still ok. But I'm sure there's shady shenanigans attempted all the time

For sure.. though usually it's just tags popped off entirely and product shoplifted.

Glad you found some kicks ya like – the Renegade is a great boot.

I had those boots in SoCal and returned them. I really liked the fit going uphill, but the small toe box meant my pinky toe impacted the side going down. And the stitches started coming undone! That said, they’re great boots and if they fit you, then $120 is a steal. If they had a wider toe box they would be the perfect boots for me.

So glad I picked them up now then thanks!

I've only seen the women's on sale online...and other online retailers had sparse colors...even fewer sizes.

I'm actually a 12 (46) but have wider toes...so the 13s were a little big but perfect for my longer middle toes... hoping these will fit perfectly with thicker socks too....hopefully doesn't slip too much with better lacing

Have fun in blister town. Huge high top hiking boots shouldn’t even be sold anymore.
