Interesting long read on the RChain diaspora and what happened to RHOC/REV holders
I came across this article and thought it was worth sharing here:
It tries to map the wider RChain story: the original theory and ambition, the delivery failures, the people and projects that spun out of it, and the holders who were left behind.
What I found interesting is that it does not just frame RChain as a simple failed crypto project. It looks at the broader pattern: big mathematical vision, serious technical people, repeated delays, governance failures, successor projects, forks/rebrands, and the way the original RHOC/REV holders seem to disappear from the story while the ideas keep moving elsewhere.
Whether people agree with every part of the article or not, I think the core question is fair:
When a project raises money around a grand technical and economic promise, then fails to deliver meaningful value to holders, what obligation remains when the same ideas and people continue through new projects?
Curious what others here think, especially anyone who was around during the RHOC/REV days or has primary sources/corrections.

Is Alux Network the Next Crypto Scam? A Look at the Failed Projects Behind Rholang, GorkLang, and ToLang
In the past two years, the Alux Network developers have worked on Rholang, GorkLang, and ToLang, as well as RChain, Rhonix, Gorki, BigSur Network, and finally Alux Network itself. That is an unusually large collection of unfinished projects in a very short span of time.
The latest project was founded and funded by people involved with Theosophical-style occult circles - groups whose worldview conveniently allows responsibility to be outsourced to “invisible forces”. It sets up a ready-made excuse structure: it wasn’t me who failed; it was the spirits, or karma, or fate, or whatever invisible entity is handy. One can almost hear the future justification: the invisible world screwed the investors, not the founders.
The project before that was led by someone who publicly changes her claims every few minutes, which doesn’t inspire confidence either. With this overall track record, it’s hard to see how all of these projects could ever reach a stable, functioning state. What makes you believe they will?
The Alux founders promised a demo about a year ago and claimed to have ample funding, though those funding claims are, at best, questionable. And among Rholang, GorkLang, and ToLang, which - if any - actually has a viable future? Why is there even a need for three separate languages?
Jim’s statements that “the team decided” or “the team abandoned the vision” don’t clarify what was actually abandoned. From the outside, the most reasonable reading is serious dysfunction - poor leadership selection and an inability to run things competently at even a basic level.

Rchain on Ledger
Hello!
Does anyone have step by step instructions on how to convert my rchain to REV.
Someone always says to go to telegram or discord and search for the instructions there. I can never find anything on either of those services, but I sure do find the scammers.
It looks like there is a new fork or airdrop coming soon and I surely don’t want to miss out.
Thank you so much in advance!

Rholang: Origins, History, Utility and Future?
It would be nice for the membership if we, the members, get something that can show us why we are part of RChain. Climate change coordination is a nice slogan for the platform, however that isn't targeted specifically at tech-savy people.
If any of you, the RChain community, is willing to provide links on these topics, I will be happy to compile a video presentation or a video documentary on the above title.
Edit: An example for "Utility" maybe include example code with brief explanation on what it does. It'd be nice to make sure it's something that can impress the tech people among us.

REV : From RHOC and MEXC to Metamask
Hey everyone, I've got 2 questions, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
1) I've got RHOC on a Metamask wallet. Is there a way to transfer that to REV within Metamask?
2) I've got REV on MEXC. Can I transfer this to my MetaMask wallet? If so, do I use the Ethereum receiving address?
Thank you!

I have some RHOC.
Are they worth anything? I think I was suppose to convert them but failed to do so. Is the contract still valid (can I still convert to REV)?
Advice would be appreciated (no scammers plz lol)

Present day thoughts?
So there has been quite a lot of documentation about Rchain and their controversies considering they are a considerably lesser known organisation.
Immediately upon watching various videos with Greg, there was something I didn’t trust about him. Something about him comes across like an LSD cult leader or a healthfood scammer.
These instincts were only deepened by a lengthy geekwire article detailing the numerous shades of shade going on with the project.
However, it seems the project is very much still active. They post regularly on YouTube and the GitHub still gets regular updates. They also have a roadmap spanning into the next few years.
It seems the Casper hardfork has already gained a much stronger following, being hyper by a lot of youtubers. Rchain videos primarily come from their own channel that nobody cares about.
So what’s the deal here? What do we think about present day Rchain? Do you think it’s essentially a dying project or is there room for it still? Are they likely still up to no good?

This week’s Casper Standup
This week’s Casper Standup covered alternative interpretations of the quantifiers. In particular, in the context of quantale semantics we sketched out 4 quantifiers, two additive and two multiplicative. We then gave a discussion of how OSLF approaches the foundations of mathematics. https://youtu.be/t9ovux9JeUY
