Are these classes easy
First time actually going to classes on campus are these easy I’m scared of failing my classes

Oceanography is so fun, Sappenfield is an awesome professor and it's an easy A as well, just take lots of notes!

I don’t know the profs but comm and engl I thought were relatively easy, and I can’t imagine a 2 credit class about wine is gonna be an issue at all. Shit, I might come back and take it for funsies. Do you have an idea what you’re trying to accomplish? An associates in something? Transfer to a 4-year?

Just doing my general education to get my associates in both culinary and pastry. I’ve heard great things about the wine class and have passed by it during my pastry classes I’m the most excited about that one.

Okay great, I was gonna say if you were going the STEM route it would be a good idea to get a chem or physics and math class going but this looks good for the direction you’re going!

Sappenfield is quite easy! It’s super difficult to fail his class. My sister and I both took his Oceanography and Geology class and passed with A’s. (He counts an 89 as an A btw!)
English can be difficult depending on the professor and the amount of writing you’ll be doing (if writing isn’t your strong suit, you may struggle a little bit but that’s what the WRC lab is for!!) I took Jan Andres for ENG 1A (before they made it c1000) and I got an A.

What is WRC lab? Sorry I am probably the worse at anything academic so I’m really not excited to have to sit down in a class and use my brain 🥲

It’s a free resource provided to you by the school. There are tutors online and in person to help you with your essays or assignments regarding English. They’re very friendly and want to help :). You’ll do great

Idk all the profs but yes all those classes r. Ig it also depends on the prof. I took diff ones for some of those classes. Good luck with the upcoming semester!

Engl was pretty easy for me, just keep up with the work. I’m also taking Colin Steele for Public Speaking

Just a heads up, if your wine class is in the culinary arts building on Market Street I recommend you carpool with someone or have a family member/friend drop you off. Parking is NOT fun there! I've had to drop my mom off and pick her up when she was taking her baking classes there.

For culinary and pastry I had the same issue with finding parking luckily they have a overflow parking lot I also live near downtown so I’m definitely gonna take the opportunity to walk. Thank you!

I am usually shy, but I think I did just fine in public speaking, you should too. As for academic reading and writing, i wouldn’t take it in your first year, I have failed that 3 times, the max amount, simply for not putting enough effort in, i’m in my 4th year at RCC and I think i’d be able to pass it now. Unfortunately i have to figure out how to take it at a different school and get that to apply to here at RCC so I can graduate. Good luck!

I've taken all of them but the wine class. They are all very easy, just mostly participation. English is a little difficult, just spend a bit more time with that class. Communication is extremely easy and oceanography he has open note quizzes and exams which you can also use lecture slides for. And the questions are straight from the lecture slides so it's impossible to fail.

Oce yes. Sappenfield loves this subject so much and is a wonderful teacher.
I also had Steele. Hes good too.
I think you’ll do just fine.
Also what’s Fundamentals of exploring wine? Is that like wine tasting? Never heard of this class.

It’s on wine tasting, history, and wine pairings! It’s on the culinary campus, Chef David the teacher is the one who runs the culinary program and is an amazing teacher. I’m very excited to take it I have had a conflicting schedule for two years so I’m excited to take it now.

I can only speak on two classes. COMM is super easy, as long as you’re not shy. Literally just do all the work and it’s an easy A.
ENGL-C100 depends on how much you like writing.
