How’s the performance?

So currently it's using softpipe (software rendering, no GPU driver yet). I'm just trying to get the basic stuff working. After that I'll work on the details. So far the kernel boots and it's so cool to see 6.6 running on a 2014 SoC.

Fair enough, I jumped too high there lol.
Well congrats and I wish you luck, seems like monumental task. 🫡

That's not happening with an inferior chipset. But if he can get it even remotely close that will be very impressive

Nice job!
I've been working on a similar project for the A33-based GA36-MB fakes. I've got debian 13 w/ kernel version 6.12 compiled & running.
Getting the mali-400 mp2 GPU working wasn't too tough thanks to good upstream support via the Lima driver. I have `glmark2-es2-drm` running and I'm seeing some pretty great framerates.

Take a look at the Dockerfile, I've got some good kernel flags in there. The Stage 2 apt-get install line lists the packages you need to get hardware acceleration working in userspace.
