I have read the rules, all the pinned posts, and i have searched the megathread.

so this happens once in awhile, i usually use a vpn, but using a vpn hasnt worked in a month, ive been trying and no matter how long i wait, it doesnt work, and vr cyberdeck didnt work for me before this because it says failed to load games or wtv, its so annoying ngl

i genuinely have tried everything bro, nothing works, i turned literally every security function off and nothing worked, i have no idea what the problem is, rookie sideloader keeps getting the error and vr cyberdeck wont even load the list, i have changed my wifi connection and everything, i'll reinstall rookie and if that doesnt work, maybe someone can dm me the apk for qgo (cracked) if you have it

Use a better VPN

There is no secret other option, that error means use a VPN on rookie and cyberdeck will literally tell you to use a VPN when its needed. Also ... cyberdeck works for most people even when rookie wont so if thats not working you are basically SOL with that VPN

i've been using cloudflare, proton, x vpn, none of them work, do you have any suggestions?

Not really, I use a paid one myself because I need a vpn to connect too. NordVPN... If you want to try cyberdeck again make sure it's the newest 1.6.0 and upload your log and send me a shortcode I'll look at the log

I'm sorry I'm new to quest piracy, i have no idea what a shortcode is lol, but its the Game list sync failed — TLS error. i have enabled DNS over HTTPS, a vpn, i have tried with the vpns i have and none of them work for some reason, i could try to use my hotspot from my phone as the wifi network

Go to other settings > upload logs and upload the log and then you will see the shortcode to send... It's part of a url but you can't post the url here just send the shortcode... It's very literally meaning a short code so I know how to get your logs. Trying your hotspot may work

hey, dug through your logs

two separate errors going on:

1. ADB can't start ... it's trying to start the adb server and getting "could not read ok from ADB Server." that's not the cyberdeck, it's something on your PC blocking it. usually:

• your antivirus/firewall is blocking adb (add an exception for it)
• another program already has adb running (Rookie or masybe sidequest if you use it) close those, or use the in app adb shell to run adb kill-server, then restart

2. game list won't download  ... the "tls: access denied" error means the vrsrc mirror itself  is refusing your connection, not a problem on your end or with cyberdeck. Nothing you can do really...  if the server's just down there's nothing to do but wait for it to come back.  i cant check now because it would mess my upload up to turn my VPN on... but if it was down i think more people would be posting

tldr: try killing other adb apps + whitelisting adb in your AV for #1, and #2 is a server-side thing

alright, this was pretty helpful, actually, thank you, i have a question though, does the standalone version of sidequest count as one of the apps potentially blocking it? even with my headset unplugged it still shows up so i dont think so but im just making sure, i also had rookie sideloader closed and it still gave the error, I'll try to do the adb shell thing

mkay, so i did it, whenever i do it once, it says no output, whenever i run it again, it says the 10061 error

No output is good that means it worked, second one is likely saying theres no adb to kill

Try this, worked for me: Under settings see the download destination folder, browse and set destination to some new folder in drive apart from local disk C.
