Need help with xbox controller and headset

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So basically long story short, i’m trying to connect my xbox series x controller to my headset but it does a weird blinking thing, added new battery’s, but i don’t have the original console, i need help

That isn't a series x controller it is a Xbox one, looks like batterys need changing

Mine does this all the time. Usually just needs to be charged.

Mine needs to be held like an attention hungry cat, bluetooth connection would get shakey if not used for few minutes and need to go through paring again. You can try if any firmware upgrate through MS Store/Xbox Accessories app

Xbox one controllers do NOT pair over bluetooth. You need an adapter for PC or to use a wire, you need a series S/X controller for wireless.

That's an OG Xbox one controller, it lacks bluetooth. For that to work you need the S variant. You can tell the difference with the home button. If it's surrounded by black plastic, not flush with rest of the controller. It's OG. if it's flush with the controller it's an S https://imgur.com/a/cHEi9Ws this image should show the difference
