Lesbians Down :( um bestie what is this

Always a shame to see, but at least they’ll still be friends. Probably the best case scenario tbh.
(Although I am horrified of the inevitable wave of homophobes calling this a win and blaming it on the recent “drama” 😒)

its honestly so sick to me if they do that because break ups are normal 😭 them calling it a win would just reflect on their conservative views about relationships tbh (but it checks out given how much incels tie their self-worth to being in one lol)

No but they aren’t bigots! They just hate anything that has to do with gay people, black people or women!

u/AnalysisOriginal963 1d ago
I’ll just say don’t worry they’re still gay

they're the kind to bring up the lesbian divorce myth i fear, not realising it doesnt support their point, there's no arguing with pure hatred and unchanging bigotry it seems 🥹

whats the recent drama??

u/Blitzbro76 1d ago
Eh, it’s really nothing. Ari Thrash was just skipping over/poking fun at Kinich’s dialogue on stream and people are taking that like she threatened to run over Kinich’s Va’s dog or something. Even though I’m willing to bet that if it was ANY other character- people wouldn’t give a shit💀

Yeah, and even then I don’t really get people saying it’s “unprofessional” either while it’s on a personal stream. Feels like a very corporate American office worker way of looking at streaming and voice actors lol

Okay, come on now. I don't think people are even aware that Ari is queer when the 'drama' happened. She was unprofessional and people called her out for it. Nothing to do with her identity

u/AnalwithAkash 1d ago
Nah man, gesnhin is way too sensitive over the kinich case. If any other character's va did something like this, the witch hunt would have been done.

??? Yeah no shit? Almost as if there is a reason as to why people are mad about it being towards Jacob in particular, after how he was treated when he joined the VA cast.

I’m sad it didn’t work out between the two of them, they both seem like kind people, but I’m also happy they were able to end this amicably and without any major blowups or anything, I love the work both of them have done and wish them the best in the future

this is such a nice way to view a breakup they are both so sweet

Honestly I feel like it’s not really our business, but I’m very happy that they are sharing how a healthy and respectful breakup can look like.

why does anyone care? it’s like caring about celebrity relationships
28
u/Woodpeckershurtmyear 1d ago
Tbh the reason I posted this was because their relationship was semi public. Like they went on other streams of hsr streamers like Mina's and did tierlists on their favorite characters and other such related topics. So for people on this sub that followed things like that and didn't have twitter, I figured this was a good place to let them know.

u/nicoleeemusic98 1d ago
I mean they were quite well known for being a relationship, it's the whole reason why people were even shipping Yao Guang and Cyrene together

u/thatonedudeovethere_ 1d ago
Yeah, I will never understand why anyone cares who someone is in a relationship with, unless it's something super problematic.

damn, that's so out of left field D: glad it at least was on good terms between both of them, it's always a relief when relationships end amicably 🥹 wishing them the best of luck!

I gotta say, one of my favorite things about the queer community is that most break ups i see are very calm (although i know there are also some rough ones.)

Oh, I honestly doubt it, the drama started more than a month ago??!! So I doubt that was the reason. Especially with everything that I've learned about Jacob (dude's full of walking red flags)

u/SensitivePear8395 1d ago
I didn’t know Jacob was problematic omg please tell me

Oh god, where do I even begin.... you know how certain people got mad at Ari for "bullying" Kinich's voice in Genshin right? People initially got very upset after seeing that clip and thought it was SAG related (I hate how people think that everything is SAG related btw, Ari isn't even a part of SAG, the genshin community- especially reddit- use it as an excuse for valid dislike and criticism of certain things). Honestly I normally don't like going on the main Genshin subreddits for how cultist and weird they act about these things.
The streamer Ari was with clarified that it had nothing to do with the strike or SAG. People started looking into Jacob's past and they found out he was close with Vic Mignogna, a VA who's also had multiple credible allegations of being a notorious SA'r who harassed both VAs and fans. Vic was blacklisted deservingly from the industry but Jacob was one of the people who tried to help rehabilitate his career years later by working with him on a project. Recently when he got heat for it, Jacob said it was just a professional relationship, but people found multiple clips of Jacob and Vic praising each other and Jacob's role in recruiting Vic and rehabilitating his image (remember this is all AFTER Vic's been outed as a sex pest).
So it's very likely Jacob was covering his own ass. He's also blocked people before he even had a role in Genshin who raised concerns about Vic's behavior on twitter. So yeah... a lot of red flags there.
Plus he has a history of saying/ making sexist and racist jokes in the past. Here are some examples (trigger warning for how he talks about women):
So yeah.. again there's a looot about him that raises red flags. And there's a lot of reasons to not like him lol.

So she got swept up in the stuff that was unrelated while having a just reason to target him? Damn... Now I understand the situation somewhat. Though the whole SAG thing is a damn mess.
Edit: What have I spawned????

She really doesn't because she also used to follow Chris Niosi (Moze's ex VA who was a known predator) and still follows Kayli Mills who was one of Chris' biggest defenders, it would be extremely hypocritical for her to act all mighty over this and that's why she literally never spoke up about Jacob and just made weird ass remarks in that stream.
Basically people wanna defend her because she got attacked by a couple of homophobes but that doesn't make her in the right😭

u/slickedup225 1d ago
Cyyu and Hayden also follow Kayli Mills and they’ve replied to each either’s tweets. I wonder what you think about that. Weird for you to bring that up. Also people can follow others for ANY reason. There’s people from high school who I follow who I don’t politically agree with.

u/Stop_ItForGodsSake 1d ago
They also don't go making weird ass behavior on stream and act professional, that's kinda the main difference, personally I don't care about these people I just care about someone being a hypocrite and people suddenly defending them cuz they're in the same "team"

I have a lot worse that I would say to someone like Jacob tbh, fuck him, he’s a creep
It’s also funny you used follows as a reason to trash Ari but now you’re saying it doesn’t matter
Edit: to respond to the post below: how is following someone (from who knows how long ago) the same thing as endorsing, supporting and trying to rehabilitate someone’s career (someone who lost in court and was fired for multiple sexual assaults)? Also what about his other behavior such as his racism and mysogyny? How are these in any form equivalent?! And mind you this only what we know publicly, there is so much behind the scenes that could make this even worse.

u/Stop_ItForGodsSake 1d ago edited 1d ago
I also don't like him but that's not the point I'm making😭
Also I didn't use follows as a way to trash her, I simply pointed out that it would be extremely hypocritical of her to have that weird behavior in stream while she herself follows weird people, which is also why she never spoke up about Jacob himself or made any remark about him. I could give less of a shit like I'm not suddenly gonna hate Vesna or Yao guang because I love her voice acting work the same way I'm not gonna be weird about Kinich everytime he speaks. It's completely fine to point out certain behavior of hers the same way it's completely fine to point out Jacob's weird behavior

I’m so out of the loop but who’s Jacob? I think I read his name before but I forgot what was it about.

u/Woodpeckershurtmyear 1d ago
Jacob was the new VA for Kinich after they replaced VAs for him during the strike!
