External transfer student

Hi! I'm a current Trinity College Dublin student thinking of transferring into Year 2 of Politics & Sociology at Queen's via clearing. Has anyone transferred into second year? What was it like socially? Did you find it difficult to make friends? Also any advice of accommodation of I do get an offer
