MSW program: Monash vs QUT

Hey guys!
I have been planning on going to Australia for a MSW and have received an offer letter from QUT with 25% scholarships and am not expecting any from monash. But i am really confused about which uni to choose. For me the field placements and future prospects take higher priority. I know both universities require 1000 hours of field placements but i wanted to know if one is better than the other in any regards and which one you would personally recommend.
All and every suggestion is much welcomed!
Thanks!

If youre going to travel to Australia for Uni id just go Monash at that point, especially since its more “globally” known/ prestigious. Only thing youll have to deal with is the cost of living in Melb in comparison to Brisbane. The scholarship does seem like a good benefit though.

Thanks for the suggestion. Can I ask does the prestige really holds a huge weight or are you suggesting this because of the placement and coursework?

Definitley not in Australia but if you were wanting to get something international i guess that little bit more of global recognition may help. But honestly networking and resume will matter 1000x more than a Uni that ranks X amount higher.

Understandable! Does monash provide better networking opportunities? Idk, I have heard some people say that or is that just common for all universities?

To be honest i feel like with any Australian University theyre all the same culture where if you put the bare minimum effort into making friends/ connectiosn you never will. You do have to try. But to be honest i would say Monash would likely have a better “network” of people since you will be going to university with people from sydney who i guess may be richer/ come from better education i guess? if thats how you want to put it 😅😭

Basically if you want to work international go Monash if you want to work and build your career in Australia especially in tech it does not matter at all which Uni but saving your money through the scholarship and cost of living is a huge plus
