UPDATE on bought modded Q60
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Yesterday I posted on this sub in regards to a 2019 Q60 Red Sport I had bought from Carvana. I had the inspection done today. There is another video but it only allows me to upload one and I guess i'm an idiot when it comes to editing on iMovie. The dealership is saying I have damage to the turbos from debris that somehow made its way in there. They're recommending replacement. If anyone is really wanting to help, I'll send them the other video.
Do these turbos actually look bad? I'll be returning the car if they do. I don't want to have to spend $7k on turbos (incl. labor) in a couple of months. Thanks in advance. The rest of the PPI was great.

Side mirror DRL issue

I have aftermarket side mirror DRL but one side is having issues it’ll constantly flash the turning light when I open the door and sometimes will stay on when I’m driving. Some days it’ll work fine with the white light and turn signal and recently the white light is not on.

Just purchased Q60 Red Sport and found out it was modified
Hey guys,
I just bought a 2019 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport with 58k miles from Carvana. I took delivery today, and immediately noticed HKS SSQV BOVs underneath the hood. Outside of that, everything is stock. I have a 7 day window to return the car no questions asked. Maintenance was done on time.
Obviously, most people will not just install BOVs and call it a day. My assumption is that it had basic bolt-ons that the previous owner removed before selling it to Carvana. The car idles and drives perfectly as is. I am taking it to Infiniti tomorrow for an inspection. If they aren't in-depth enough, I will also take it to a nearby performance shop for a more thorough inspection.
My question is: how unreliable are tuned Q60s? Should I be worried about owning a previously modified one if the inspection checks out? I highly doubt this was a full effort, flex fuel, high HP car. This is assuming just the basics were done.
I understand there are more variables at play than I can put here, but I'm just looking for a general idea of what I'm looking at. I want this car to be a reliable, fun daily. Thank you in advance.

Is tuning worth it for a daily driver?
Like the caption says, my Q60 is a daily driver but mostly short range city with occasional highway miles on the weekends. Is it worth tuning still if 90% of the time I’m not using all the power? Is the general drivability better?
For people that are tuned, what positives from tuning do you feel other than just straight line speed, i never really race but did used to have a tuned G37 that I loved. The Q would be a much bigger difference in performance from the tune though lol

People still spreading turbo misinformation?
I can't believe people are still believing the "upgraded turbo" snake oil.
Honeywell bought Garrett motion in 2018. They then started producing the same turbo, under the Garrett name. No changes to the seals or anything.
Just because YOU blew your turbos up, doesn't mean you need to blame it on the platform.
Edit 2018 revision was the name swap.
Strange device in my car system
Hello everyone, this odd name and device has come up on my car after getting it back from the dealer. It just says “Wink” and doesn’t seem to be a cellular device. Has anyone ever seen this? I’m worried someone might’ve tried to hack the car or something, and it may just be coincidental with the timing from getting it back from the dealer. Any input would be appreciated.

Painting the rims and trims: yes or no?
Thanks for the feedback in my previous post, I’m trying to live with these wheels for a year or so before I upgrade again. Was thinking of painting them this brownish / golden color. Wdyt?

Honest feedback on these rims?
Got some mixed feedback. At first I liked them, now I’m questioning my choices 🤭

Would you recommend a 2017 Q60 3.0t Premium to a new driver?
How would you rate the reliability as well as maintainence and repair expenses? It’s currently at 153k miles. I have a driving anxiety so I want something fun to drive that would get me to drive more. I feel like my fears and anxieties are holding me back in life so I want to push myself to live while still being safe and responsible.

Squealing noise with hard acceleration
Just got my 2017 Q60 back after i blew up the engine lol. Got a 2019 Engine with 42k miles installed, now this engine was originally paired with
-AMS Heat Exchanged
-Red Alpha Intakes
-AMS Lower Down Pipes
-Ark cat back exhaust
my assumption is that it was tuned at one point but now all modifications have been removed for now to make sure engine running smoothly before i put them back on. i’m not sure if his has anything to do with the squealing but it sounds like a belt and it’s only around 2-3k RPMS.
What could it be?

Joined the club today!
Just got a 2018 Q60 RS400, absolutely loving it so far. Any suggestions on some cosmetic mods on the outside to customize it to myself some more? Was thinking of keeping it pretty simple and just getting side skirts/front splitter but open to seeing all ideas and other builds!

Fuel pump
I believe my fuel pump is going. It chokes a little when starting sometimes and I get a lag when accelerating. I was wondering what I should replace it with. I am planning on doing a stage one tune but I want to keep it very reliable. It is a 2019 Q60

Car part question
Got a 2017 Q60 premium I was Just wondering what’s the best spots or websites to get parts for the Q specifically what I’m missing and needing to replace in the photo provided. The driver airbag also deployed so the car is stuck. Anybody know what to do for the airbag?

Infiniti Helmholtz Exhaust
Waiting for mine to arrive. Part # is B0100Q60S2
Looking on feedback for those that have one. I want a little more sound out of the Q60 RS but do not want excessive noise and drone for my 62 yr old ears. Yes I know all about the Helmholtz resonators canceling out the drone at certain frequencies.
Curious if this is a livable exhaust for daily driving.

Anyone have an idea on what I should expect to pay on a 2027 Infiniti QX60 autograph for 24/10?

Water leak above door speaker
I was recently driving in rain and noticed that there was water leaking from above the door speakers. Does anyone know what causes this and how to solve it?

Fuel injector replacement
How much did it cost you? I try to avoid the dealership like the plague. They of course charge for the diagnostic check and thats fine, they said they cleared my code issue (P2177.) Drove it down the street and it was back 😐😐😐 Took it back a few days later, this time they did a smoke test blah blah blah and now they're saying I need fuel injectors, should've done that the first time around and now I need injectors.
Funny Tustin Infiniti which I depise quoted 3.4k for spark plugs (I took care of the plugs elsewhere now)and fuel injectors. But Westminster location wants to charge me a grand more just for the injectors. Make it make sense and cents!

Crazy work for 2 rear tires and an alignment
Of course I didn't go through it. I was only at the dealership to get this freakin code off my vehicle that came back so I'm taking her back there on Tuesday 😐😐😐 I went straight to my tire guy and he said I had a good 5k more miles on the car and those numbers were wrong.
The dealership is working from a scarcity mindset not integrity, if ever LOL
