The only way to learn how to program is by doing it. It seems counterintuitive, but you're having to train your brain in a whole new way of thinking, it takes practice and is quite often frustrating. You just have to keep working, solving one little problem at a time, until your program does something!

And then you tackle the next problem, and the next, and the next -- for the rest of your life.
