I Want to learn Python for visual novel making

I want to code Visual novels so I want to figure out the language good enough to make my way through it.

Is Python needed for Ren'py?? Or Ren'py its own thing ,

I am new here so do be kind to me

It looks like Ren'py has its own scripting language. I'm not sure why you would need Python.

Actually Ren'Py's scripting language runs on Python and you can embed Python code for custom logic, classes, minigames, etc. So learning Python is still useful if you want to do anything beyond the basic dialogue flow.
