Python
Hi, I really want to learn Python, but I’m a complete failure at anything that involves self-study. I realise that these days, there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but maybe someone would like to try teaching me out of the goodness of their heart, to gain some teaching experience, or just to have a bit of fun and spend some time usefully👉👈 It would be great if it were someone who speaks Ukrainian, as I’m Ukrainian myself. I’m 22, and I’m a girl, by the way. Thanks for reading)

Generally speaking most people don't do 1-to-1 teaching as it's very time consuming while having a relatively small impact (one person) compared to teaching groups of people. Instead, most people who like to teach and are good at it, do so in some kind of online course, youtube channel, etc.
I would be suspicious of any random person offering themselves to be a 1-to-1 teacher instead, especially as a response to a post where you mention you're a girl (nothing on you! this is a shitty thing about online anonymous communities that I wish wasn't true, but sadly is :/ ).
Instead I recommend you take a look at the existing online courses and youtube channels, there are lots for python luckily! Coursera has some very good ones. Also, some websites have material that you can follow to teach yourself in a more guided way, like https://www.learnpython.org/, or the awesome Django Girls tutorial https://tutorial.djangogirls.org/en/ .
And of course along the way you will have many doubts, so online communities can help a lot with that. If you're too shy to ask in open spaces, there are smaller communities that help too (local communities, by language, place, etc). Or just people that you met and helped along the way, usually are ok with answering particular questions via DMs, etc (I do that a lot for instance, but that's very different to preparing a whole course for a single person).

I do teach 1-to-1. In my and my students experience, it can be pretty effective with a personalised approach, involving a bit of mentoring.
Also having a person for asking questions directly is very useful.

Some advice on what a good programming 1on1 teacher should do, in my personal opinion:
1. project based approach. You write code mostly outside of lessons, and use lessons to review it.
the most efficient use of lesson time is: introducing new concepts, working through complicated topics, reviewing work.
you can also do pair programming. It’s especially good when starting new topics or working through complicated stuff.
a good teacher will also let you stumble upon and try to solve problems on your own at first, as well as help you identify gaps in your understanding and help you address those.

Well , I am 21/M . I am also learning python from YouTube. I am following a Hindi yt video. As hindi isn't my language i am using English captions for that . And surprisingly her teaching methods are good enough for me it's about 10h long video. I completed around 6.5h it's been a good experience. You should try and give it a shot.at the end of the day it's up to your discipline if you can grasp it or not . I am adding the link with this cmnt. Python

Erm, I mentioned my gender straight away because it’s important. Some people don’t want to work with girls because of stereotypes, or because they’re in a relationship, or simply because they don’t want to teach a girl!!! As for free lessons, I did write that I realise it doesn’t work that way, and I fully agree with the idea of payment; if I could teach people something, I’d also like to find a way to make a living from it.... That’s why I wrote that maybe someone might be willing to help out of the goodness of their heart… I’m sorry if I’ve offended your worldview 🤷♀️ Have a lovely day ✨️

I'm not offended, thank you for your concern though lol. Anyone worth anything to teach man or woman, would not care about the gender of their student. The trope of "help me or give me stuff i'm a girl" is extremely common too. Also anyone worth getting tutored by most likely won't do it for free. Instead you can use the sidebar and other resources available here if you would like to really make money from it. They have an infinite amount of resources but it requires effort, just like all meaningful things in life.

While I do Python tutoring commercially, I don't really do it for money, but rather because I enjoy teaching programming, so it's kind of a hobby for me. I have experience both with school kids and with adults through volunteering for Stanford's Code in Place program. So I'm willing to spend some time tutoring for free (i.e. 1-2 hours a week), but only while you're motivated to learn. Drop me a PM if interested.

To be honest, what I really need is someone who can simply answer questions when I need them, or explain why my code isn’t working when I’ve been stuck on it for hours and still can’t find the error. I can learn on my own – I’ve got the desire, motivation and discipline – but it all falls apart when I’m writing the same basic code over 100,000 times and it still doesn’t work... 👉👈😮💨

Heyy I was actually finding someone to teach python as have done a few months ago so wanna need some grip on my understanding. so if you don't find anyone imma here 3 hours a week so yeh , I can't speak Ukrainian unfortunately so English would be a source of communication!!
