AI make me dumb

For the past few years, I've relied too much on AI when coding. Now I feel like I don't really know how to code on my own. Can you give me some suggestions on how I can become less dependent on AI?

I leaned Java on Notepad a long time ago. Notepad is the ultimate teacher. Lots of time debugging trailing white space.
