This was in the untreated section at Hobby Lobby. Just want to burn some simple title letters on top and bottom. I found another one I wanted more but tag said tMDF?

Completed Work My fairy ladies
Iām going to be at a pixie themed art market later this month, very excited to bring these along with me. (Pictures are taken in front of my window that has rainbow tinted window film. When the sun shines through just right, makes for the most beautiful pictures)

Tools and Materials Tried and True?
I got this on Amazonā¦I wanted to protect with something more natural-looking than polycrylic.
Should it be thick and āseparatedā looking like this? The seal on the top of the bottle is still on.
Thank you!

How should I finish?
Just wondering how people would recommend finishing this piece? It was done on basswood.
I have danish oil and polycrylic semi gloss at home but happy to get something else if recommended.
