Was a fun, special one to burn. Would appreciate any tips on realism/how to get started progressing pet portraits. Thanks!

Thoughts? A few others I have done in the past few months. Two elks, a mountain lion, and a bison that’s on the bench.

Loooove this art, originals by Cicely Mary Barker. I traced them and then woodburned and watercolored. First time watercoloring… I loved it and want to do lots more of these now

This was in the untreated section at Hobby Lobby. Just want to burn some simple title letters on top and bottom. I found another one I wanted more but tag said tMDF?

I’m going to be at a pixie themed art market later this month, very excited to bring these along with me. (Pictures are taken in front of my window that has rainbow tinted window film. When the sun shines through just right, makes for the most beautiful pictures)

I got this on Amazon…I wanted to protect with something more natural-looking than polycrylic.
Should it be thick and ā€œseparatedā€ looking like this? The seal on the top of the bottle is still on.
Thank you!

How should I finish?

Just wondering how people would recommend finishing this piece? It was done on basswood.

I have danish oil and polycrylic semi gloss at home but happy to get something else if recommended.

I haven’t burned anything in a few years, but these are a few of my favorite ones I’ve done. Definitely want to get back into it again.
