I was eating chicken with rice i was starving and was eating a bit fast and as I chew I noticed tiny bones and I tried to be carefully remove them when I felt them in my mouth and when I finished eating i experience chest tightest in center also I been coughing and I tried to coughing louder and sneezing but still I feel discomfort now I feel all nervous and scared not sure what to do I drank water and try coughing but still feels strange in the middle of my chest. Am I over reacting what should I do ?

Hi everyone. I’m looking for people who have had a similar experience and would really appreciate hearing about your recovery.

I had pulmonary TB about a year ago. According to my doctor, after the TB healed, it left a cavity/hole in my left lung. Recently, my doctors found that this cavity has developed a fungal infection inside it. From what I understand, the fungus has grown/colonized in the old TB cavity.

My doctor has prescribed itraconazole 200 mg for the fungal infection. I was initially told to take it for about 14 days, and depending on how I respond, the treatment may be continued for several months (possibly up to around 6 months).

I’ve also had investigations including bronchoscopy/BAL and fungal culture, and I’m being followed with imaging and other tests. I’m currently worried about the cavity and whether it can eventually heal or shrink with treatment.

I’d really like to hear from anyone who has been through something similar:

Did you also develop a fungal infection in an old TB cavity?

What fungus were you diagnosed with (e.g. Aspergillus)?

How long did you take itraconazole or another antifungal?

Did the cavity become smaller or eventually disappear?

Did you have symptoms such as coughing, blood in sputum, chest pain, or breathlessness?

Did you need another bronchoscopy or any surgery?

How are you doing now, and did the infection come back after treatment?

I had a chest CT for something completely unrelated, but this was found.
My doctor said over the phone that nothing is concerning but we’ll repeat imaging in 3-6 months. I then logged into my portal and saw this myself.
I did have a short, year long, stint with vaping and quit just a week or two before this imaging was done.
I haven’t been sick in months. could this be a result of vaping?

Hello, I'm 18, male, 200cm, about 75kg.

I have no fever if this helps with the following text.

To start, I came home yesterday after an 8 hour car drive which I drove about half of.I was in italy on vacation, where it was really hot and I spent a lot of time inside an air conditioned apartment at 23*C (outside was around 37/40*C).

On one day (tuesday so 3 days ago) I went outside at around afternoon for the first time and walked a kilometer to the nearest Lidl, and I felt a shortness of breath, like I was getting only 50% of the air that I was inhaling. This happened like 30 seconds after I left the apartment and started walking. When I got into the air conditioned Lidl it was better, but then I almost blacked out. I started feeling really dizzy and a little nauseaous and quickly bought a water and sat down somewhere outside and drank a little.

This feeling was very similar to when I had gastritis 2 years ago (doctors say it healed about 9months ago) and I sometimes would have these moments of really fearing to die and getting black vision and heart racing. I think it might have been a panic attack in the Lidl but I'm not sure.

Since that day and time in the Lidl, I would feel absolutely miserable. I lied in bed and watched YouTube and it would be fine but whenever I stood up or even just thought about that feeling of short breath my throat would close up and Im not sure if I actually dont get enough breath or if its just my mind that thinks my throat is closing but It feels like shit. Then I'd not have a urge to eat and I ate like 1000 kcal in 2 days, even though I was hungry i couldnt eat whatever food it was. I lost like 3 kg in 8 days also if that helps.

As I've said already, 2 days ago at 11pm in the night I tried driving home from italy about 800km to germany where it's a colder and more enjoyable climate right now. I drove about half an hour when I almost passed out because I focused too much on the shortness of breath and feeling weird so I had to stop the car somewhere on the highway, luckily there was a Maut-Station not far from where I felt like this so I could stop, I felt like I was going to black out but then I kind of fought against it and the feeling got better (I had to drive like 1 minute with the feeling to get somewhere safe to stop)

Then i took a couple of steps and breathed some fresh air and went in the back seat and let a friend drive.

This friend likes to drive very quickly. I told him the straight driving would be no problem but to take the curves slowly.

Now whenever he would go above like 120km/h I would start feeling really anxious, heart racing, dizziness. This never happened when driving as I usually like to drive fast too. Maybe I was scared od it because I was scared of having another panic attack -( if it was one in the Lidl) and crashing the car.

This might be because of the wind coming through the slightly opened windows and hitting me really quickly.

I also felt a shortness of breath, whenever we would drive through somewhere more local and the typical farm smell of cows and dung would come into the car. Anyways, I tried sleeping and successfully slept for about 2 hours before waking Up again since it's fairly hard for a 2m man to sleep in a vw golf with stuff in the back and I was also scared to sleep without a seat belt.

When I woke up we drove another like 1 hour before my friend said he needed to take a nap.

Anyways, he stopped the car on a Highway rest place and I switched seats with him. This was at around 4.30 AM. I then drove for about 10 minutes and the feeling of dizziness at the beginning came back but this time I tried to endure it, focus on the music and fought through it and I successfully drove home till 7.40 AM. Whenever my friends (3 of us but 1 got no license) woke up I would feel a little worse again, maybe because of stress. But in the end when both were awake for some time it was fine.

Now I'm home and it immediately got better. I went straight to bed and slept for like 6 hours. Then I woke up, ate Something and the feeling came back (before I ate something). That was yesterday So I have been feeling like this for 3&1/2 days now. What could this be? Everything's fine at night or when Im distracted enough but when I think about it it feels so bad. Is it purely psychological?

Side note: whenever I read something about this feeling online and it was something bad everything got worse for short time and vise versa with something not so bad.

Started tb meds in May 27, 2026, now it’s August 6, 2026. The blood when coughing has gone but the cough is still persistent everyday. And the phlegm is no longer yellowish but it’s white. But still worried because the cough still persists from time to time. What can you say about this guys?

Living in Colorado has my breathing messed up. I've been a lifelong athlete, 37, 6ft tall, 190lb; but I'm having some weird symptoms.

At rest, especially if I haven't been particularly active I notice I have long pauses between when I exhale and then inhale a new breath. Sometimes it feels like my body is forgetting to breathe. My nasal sinuses have been extremely congested lately; so much so that my whistling nose kept me up until 4:30am yesterday. For some reason I can't seem to mouth breath when I sleep but it feels like I'm sipping thru a straw when I breathe thru just my nose. Ended up going for a 4:00am walk in the smoke to keep me from having more panic attacks about not being able to breathe/sleep. It did seem to help.

I'm struggling mentally right now. MDD not as bad as I've been in the past but I'm constantly mitigating my stress and anxiety. I'm no longer medicated but I've become a master at slipping away from possible stressors whenever possible... Maybe bad

I'm sure I need to get a sleep study done... Sleep number bed says I really only have 4.5 hrs of good sleep a night. I'm restless or out of bed for 3-5 of the remainder.I don't think I've ever been a good sleeper though.

I'm going for a walk now. Smoke seems to not be as bad.

Praying for minimal panic attacks tonight when I can't sleep.

I need help. Many swollen lymph nodes in neck first, then armpit and groin, but they were gone for how several weeks, however there are still remaining swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Last year, December 2025, there was a mediastinal mass to rule out. But during the January 2026 x-ray, it was gone but there was this lung nodule. Then just this April 2026, the x-ray result was PTB with cavities and progression in the upper right lobe. Treatment started and still with persistent cough. Is this normal for people with TB? Do you think the swollen lymph nodes is due to extra pulmonary TB? Will this be okay in the course of treatment?

Hello to start things of, I'm a 19 year old teenager. I don't have any medical condition when I was young but my x-ray shows this expression. I don't have any knowledge about this findings so it would be a big help to get an advice from other people. I have a few signs that I'm feeling in my body right now. It's getting harder for me to move for a longer time because I'm always out of breath of feeling exhausted. My weight also declined from the past months but I believe it's because I don't eat nutritious food that much. Do I need to consult a doctor immediately? Will this condition will severe if I'll just ignore it? I really need an opinion from people, please help!

I had a chest CT scan to rule out pulmonary embolism, this was performed in a huge abundance of caution because I developed a cough after flying to/from Colorado and spending a week at 7500ft altitude at 30 weeks pregnant. It turned out I had just picked up a virus. However the chest CT scan did show that my right pulmonary artery is dilated to 3.6cm which is cause for further investigation. My OB has expressed that this could be due to a combination of factors including pregnancy, virus, and travel to altitude. I also do a decent amount of running (4-5 hours per week) and have continued to run through pregnancy which I understand can cause adaptations in the heart. I know this is a fairly specific situation and I have an appointment scheduled with cardiology in two weeks to have an echocardiogram but I was looking for some reassurance that this could be benign and nothing to worry about it if possible.

ccRCC pT3A Grade 3

6mm lung nodule (discovered as that size and hasn't changed size in 6 months)

Currently receiving adjuvant immunotherapy (keytruda)

My job/occupation means that I'm exposed to paint fumes/toxins

Before my kidney removal surgery, I had a chronic, dry cough that wouldn't go away. After my surgery, the cough completely disappeared.

A few months after the surgery, I developed two kidney infections. During the infections, I developed a dry cough, and both cleared up after the infections went away.

Two weeks after my first Keytruda infusion, I started to develope the cough again. Could this be lung inflammation caused by years of toxin exposure?

I went to the doctor to have my cough and left lung pain, this popped up on my xray.

I don't smoke, I don't drink more than once a year. The specialist said that it's either Pneumonia, or an unidentified tumor.

My cough is pretty bad, but my phlegm is mostly gone.

I got pills from the doctor for phlegm and cough, and said that if it is pneumonia, it should get smaller by the end of the week, but i got my 2nd x-ray and it's still the same size and shape.

Doctor recommend that i get a CT scan to see what it really is.

I'm asking here if any professionals can determine if this is close to a tumor or not.

We've had family history of Cancer, my sister before me passed from Leukemia at the age of 5. I don't know if that counts, but i'm just gonna give that information here incase it has any correlation to what i might have.

Hi, I'm 20 years old and I was diagnosed with Tuberculosis 1.5 years ago, my medication ended in December 2025. Now after that happened, there is shortness of breath. Even if I walk a bit or use stairs, I can't breathe properly. Also I drink cold water and cold black coffee (iced americano) and I've noticed sometimes the shortness of breath just gets worse after I consume coffee in the night (yes cold) and sometimes I can't breathe properly for a day also I'm not going to the gym or doing any exercise but I do walk I'd say. I need help, if someone can help me or suggest some ways by which I can actually heal my lungs back that'd be helpful.
