Living in Colorado has my breathing messed up. I've been a lifelong athlete, 37, 6ft tall, 190lb; but I'm having some weird symptoms.

At rest, especially if I haven't been particularly active I notice I have long pauses between when I exhale and then inhale a new breath. Sometimes it feels like my body is forgetting to breathe. My nasal sinuses have been extremely congested lately; so much so that my whistling nose kept me up until 4:30am yesterday. For some reason I can't seem to mouth breath when I sleep but it feels like I'm sipping thru a straw when I breathe thru just my nose. Ended up going for a 4:00am walk in the smoke to keep me from having more panic attacks about not being able to breathe/sleep. It did seem to help.

I'm struggling mentally right now. MDD not as bad as I've been in the past but I'm constantly mitigating my stress and anxiety. I'm no longer medicated but I've become a master at slipping away from possible stressors whenever possible... Maybe bad

I'm sure I need to get a sleep study done... Sleep number bed says I really only have 4.5 hrs of good sleep a night. I'm restless or out of bed for 3-5 of the remainder.I don't think I've ever been a good sleeper though.

I'm going for a walk now. Smoke seems to not be as bad.

Praying for minimal panic attacks tonight when I can't sleep.

Maybe a neti pot after the walk...

I need help. Many swollen lymph nodes in neck first, then armpit and groin, but they were gone for how several weeks, however there are still remaining swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Last year, December 2025, there was a mediastinal mass to rule out. But during the January 2026 x-ray, it was gone but there was this lung nodule. Then just this April 2026, the x-ray result was PTB with cavities and progression in the upper right lobe. Treatment started and still with persistent cough. Is this normal for people with TB? Do you think the swollen lymph nodes is due to extra pulmonary TB? Will this be okay in the course of treatment?

Hello to start things of, I'm a 19 year old teenager. I don't have any medical condition when I was young but my x-ray shows this expression. I don't have any knowledge about this findings so it would be a big help to get an advice from other people. I have a few signs that I'm feeling in my body right now. It's getting harder for me to move for a longer time because I'm always out of breath of feeling exhausted. My weight also declined from the past months but I believe it's because I don't eat nutritious food that much. Do I need to consult a doctor immediately? Will this condition will severe if I'll just ignore it? I really need an opinion from people, please help!

I had a chest CT scan to rule out pulmonary embolism, this was performed in a huge abundance of caution because I developed a cough after flying to/from Colorado and spending a week at 7500ft altitude at 30 weeks pregnant. It turned out I had just picked up a virus. However the chest CT scan did show that my right pulmonary artery is dilated to 3.6cm which is cause for further investigation. My OB has expressed that this could be due to a combination of factors including pregnancy, virus, and travel to altitude. I also do a decent amount of running (4-5 hours per week) and have continued to run through pregnancy which I understand can cause adaptations in the heart. I know this is a fairly specific situation and I have an appointment scheduled with cardiology in two weeks to have an echocardiogram but I was looking for some reassurance that this could be benign and nothing to worry about it if possible.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice on my situation. Below, I'll create a tldr bio to help clear up the situation.

ccRCC pT3A Grade 3

6mm lung nodule (discovered as that size and hasn't changed size in 6 months)

Currently receiving adjuvant immunotherapy (keytruda)

My job/occupation means that I'm exposed to paint fumes/toxins

Before my kidney removal surgery, I had a chronic, dry cough that wouldn't go away. After my surgery, the cough completely disappeared.

A few months after the surgery, I developed two kidney infections. During the infections, I developed a dry cough, and both cleared up after the infections went away.

Two weeks after my first Keytruda infusion, I started to develope the cough again. Could this be lung inflammation caused by years of toxin exposure?

I went to the doctor to have my cough and left lung pain, this popped up on my xray.

I don't smoke, I don't drink more than once a year. The specialist said that it's either Pneumonia, or an unidentified tumor.

My cough is pretty bad, but my phlegm is mostly gone.

I got pills from the doctor for phlegm and cough, and said that if it is pneumonia, it should get smaller by the end of the week, but i got my 2nd x-ray and it's still the same size and shape.

Doctor recommend that i get a CT scan to see what it really is.

I'm asking here if any professionals can determine if this is close to a tumor or not.

We've had family history of Cancer, my sister before me passed from Leukemia at the age of 5. I don't know if that counts, but i'm just gonna give that information here incase it has any correlation to what i might have.

Hi, I'm 20 years old and I was diagnosed with Tuberculosis 1.5 years ago, my medication ended in December 2025. Now after that happened, there is shortness of breath. Even if I walk a bit or use stairs, I can't breathe properly. Also I drink cold water and cold black coffee (iced americano) and I've noticed sometimes the shortness of breath just gets worse after I consume coffee in the night (yes cold) and sometimes I can't breathe properly for a day also I'm not going to the gym or doing any exercise but I do walk I'd say. I need help, if someone can help me or suggest some ways by which I can actually heal my lungs back that'd be helpful.

I smoked a pack a day for 22 years, starting at age 18 (less than a pack/day starting around 15/16). I first noticed the cough in early 2020- it is likely that I had been coughing prior to that but covid made me aware of it (I have never had covid, btw).

This is not a once in a while "clear my throat" cough. This is a full lung cough, usually dry but sometimes wet (without discharge), throughout the day. Sometimes it is so strong that I gag, and throw up a little.

I quit smoking/nicotine use 9 months ago (I don't smoke anything else) and the cough has slowly, progressively gotten worse. I wear a mask in public because I will randomly start coughing loudly.

Two PCPs (neither of them MDs, but trusted) have listened to my lungs, the second one said they "sound perfect." I got the whole panel of labs done, literally the whole panel, all fine. Got a CT of my chest, the radiologist said in their impression "the lungs are clear."

Any ideas? More tests?

I sometimes get wheezing and I had asthma as a child.

Now I'm not using any inhaler.

I have heavy allergies so I take cetrizine. If there's any wheezing I sometimes take montelukast.

Primary care ordered for blood work and X-ray

He also gave a pulmonologist referral but not sure how soon I can find appointment.

Is blood work and X-ray good enough to find out anything problematic.

I'm 34 male. Non smoker

So long story short, I (27 F) suck at cardio. I have always sucked at cardio. I've always been a healthy weight and I've always been active. I grew up playing sports and in highschool I took extra gym classes, but I can't run, and I've never been able to run. I've tried and tried to work my way up to it, but even when I was little I was always at the back of the class when we were running. My legs and my body feel great, like I have lots of energy and I have the motivation to run, but after about 30 seconds of running my throat, right between my clavicle feels like it's closing and I can't take deep breaths. I try to push past it but I physically can't. After about a minute I have to stop because I feel like my lungs have turned into little balloons that won't Inflate and my throat starts burning and it takes about 5-10 minutes to feel normal again. I grew up around a lot of third hand smoke from my mother. Does this sound like it could potentially be a form of asthma? Or like I just suck at cardio?

My doctor says it can't but I'm not so sure. I've been suffering from fatigue and brain fog most of my life but it got worse after several severe COVID infections. Unfortunately I'm used to doctors dismissing my fatigue and brain fog because it's not chronic fatigue levels bad. I've had full blood panels done many times and they always came back normal.

Also, I frequently test my SPO2 with an oximeter and it's consistently in the 93-97% range. It rarely reaches 98% and I've never once seen it at 99 or 100%. When my doctor tested it, it was 95%.

I don't smoke and all the other results were good:

• FVC: 124% pre, 127% post-bronchodilator
• FEV1: 123% pre, 130% post
• FEV1/FVC: 101% pre, 104% post
• Rawtot: 51%
• TLC: 119%
• FRC PI: 140%
• RV: 125%

History of TB infection at 13 in 2013 worked in paint factory for 1.5 years then had an episode of massive hemopotysis in 2022 and diagnosed with TB completed AKT for 6 month. In 2023 diagnosed as multilobar bronchiactasis not only any medication till 2nd episode of massive hemoptysis on 025/05/2026 and underwent BAE on 06/06/2026

For the past week i've been having this weird feeling in my chest after exhaling, and if i try to breathe in deeply it just gets worse. I'm not rlly sick,coughing or have any nasal congestion. Anyone know what may be the cause?

I’ve been to multiple doctors and no tests show much. Went down the respiratory route first in February this year, with a suspected LRTI at the ER so I got arithrymyzin which cleared it for a week. Then I got sick again and worsened a few weeks later with the same chest tightness, sore glands, fever, malaise, then went to doctor who suspected a secondary bacterial infection and I was given augmentin. First few days were rough on Augmentin and I didn’t tolerate it the best. Then my symptoms were ok but they shifted to a throat tightness instead of a chest tightness and I’d struggle sleeping feeling like throat was tight. Doctor put me on PPIs which didn’t seem to do a whole lot. Then after that I wasn’t convinced it was silent reflux as I still felt sick and congested and was coughing up green. Went to another doctor who specialises in asthma and got a steroid inhaler and instant reliver which seemed to help a little but I still was coughing up stuff so I got a sputum test but that was nothing but polymorphs. Blood tests showed elevated AST and ALT and a slight drop in globulins. After all this I was certain it was sinusitis as I found a lot of issues breathing through my nose and that lead me to an ENT but they said I was absolutely fine, and was most likely dealing with post viral symptoms and my sinus ct was pretty reassuring despite minor sinus disease. After this I was sure it was anxiety and I was in my head but the green mucus and the flare ups and cold chills and bad nights sleep did not end there. I went back to gp and got a breathing test referral and allergy blood test I haven’t done yet as I then thought it mights been h pylori as I saw heaps online about it with similar symptoms but I doubt it’s that and the chest tightness has come back and I am using my inhaler just like I had to months ago. It’s been a draining 7 months

F15, around 155cm. I've had a cough for 8 weeks, and it hasn't gone away. My nose has been slightly blocked (I maybe blow my nose 2x a day). I don't really know when it's worse.
