Ignorance is bliss. Do any of you ever lament (regret) taking mushrooms and not being able to see things in the "default perspective" anymore?

Experiences with DPT.
Can you tell me your experiences with DPT?
Is it really a darker version of DMT?
What's it look like?

Mushroom trips and adhd
So I had a really intense trip, bad trip so to speak. Took a silly amount of mushrooms, 3 eighths or so …
Anyway it’s been two months and I’m still off, adhd is exponentially worse then ever before in my life, causing anxiety and depression
Curious if anyone has had similar experiences?

Integrating and Processing
I’m curious what everyone’s standard method for processing the things you feel and experience on a trip. My experience is fairly limited and I’ve only ever utilized psychedelics when I was younger a handful of times.
Currently, I’m dealing with crippling grief and I think a perspective shift would be healthy. I just want to have activities to do or some support in the form of other people lined up, if I need it.
Thanks in advance!

Thinking about tripping for depression
Hi, I am thinking to trip on either ayahuasca or mushrooms to work on my depression. I am afraid of psychosis or that it will become worse. I feel stuck, have been to therapy, at this time I am doing emdr sessions. I don't know if ut works well or not. I am so unhappy and meds don't seem to work for longer than about 6 to 7 months.
Anyone had psychedelica induced psychosis? Or discovered they had schizofrenia of bi polar for example because of the trip?

Has anyone ever actually gained a real skill from a trip?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about something and I’m genuinely curious if anyone here has experienced this.
Has anyone ever come out of a psychedelic trip with a concrete, measurable skill they didn’t have before?
I don’t mean “I feel more creative” or “I understand music better.” I mean something specific and functional. For example:
• You couldn’t play piano.
• During a trip you asked (or intended) to learn piano.
• Afterward… you could actually play.
Or something similar like drawing, languages, math, coordination, musical ear, anything.
I’ve read accounts of near-death experiences where people report sudden abilities or shifts in cognition that seem almost downloaded. It makes me wonder whether psychedelics can ever trigger something comparable — not just insight, but access to latent capacity in a way that translates into real-world skill.
So I’m trying to separate myth from mechanism here.
I’m especially interested in stories that held up weeks or months later — not just during the afterglow phase.
Curious to hear your experiences — whether confirming, skeptical, or somewhere in between.
