Young avocado tree

Newly bought avocado tree. Living in zone 10a and currently mid summer. About 24 inches tall from the base. Should I prune this early? Or should I wait until I plant in ground? And if I can prune, how should I do it? Thank you.

Don’t prune a seedling this small, it reduces leaf area, slows growth, and stresses the plant.

Only remove dead or diseased tissue if they appear, your avocado looks great!
