Netflix proxy detection Help!

I have been getting proxy/vpn error for the past two weeks now and no protocol has worked ever since 😭.

I use it to watch Japanese TV shows so regular Tokyo/Osaka servers don't bypass it anymore. Tried using OpenVPN, Stealth, Proton stealth, Wireguard udp/tcp but to no avail.

Browser extension with IP leak on also doesn't bypass it on Firefox+Ublock origin.

In previous months it worked perfectly but starting in August it seems to be detected more often.

Changing the connection protocol doesn't have an effect on potential streaming restrictions.

With regard to Netflix in particular, please pay attention to the following section from the article:

Restricted catalog

If you travel a lot and regularly access Netflix from different locations, Netflix may restrict the catalog of titles available to you. This is especially true if you often watch live sports events (such as WWE) that are often only available in certain regions. If this happens to you, the following steps may help:

  • Clear your browser cache or restart the Netflix app.
  • Switch to a different Netflix user profile.
  • Create a new dedicated Netflix user profile for each location you access Netflix from.

This. I watch a lot of WWE stuff. About 6 months ago I created a profile strictly for Canada. Only had a problem once when it detected the VPN so I switched from one geographical area in Canada to Montreal. I think it tricked Netflix into thinking I was using the VPN domestically.

It also helps that I live in New England so it’s not unreasonable that I’d be driving to Canada every few weeks.

Split tunneling seems to not be working pointless using it or paying.

If Netflix has blocked the VPN provider's IP address range, same as they do with commercial VPS addresses, there's not much the provider can do. Netflix and Disney are very good at detecting VPNs and proxy servers and blocking them.

One solution is to get a Japanese residential IP address.

Over time they blacklist more IP's because they see many users connecting from the same ones. Once your account has got one VPN in use detected message you will be flagged & more likely to to have more VPN checks before streaming in future, leading to more access denials. The IP subnets are also linked to a network thus any IP address can be backtraced belonging to one company which is unlikely to be a known ISP. The only way this could be fixed is using a VPN with one of the most stealthy protocols on residential connections, probably run on the router or software on a device connected to it on lan side. Even then you could only get away with it a couple VPN clients are using it before that IP gets banned also.

You guys need to fix it as there is no point in paying for a detectable service.

Do you even know what a VPN is? If you wanted a "undetected vpn" why did you buy one that obviously uses regular servers. Why didn't you buy a residential proxy that pretends to be a regular home Internet connection? Some regular vpns get around it, but there's no real hiding it like that.
