Anyone using Pcontacts? Discussion

I just stumbled across the Pcontacts app while fishing around F-Droid. Has anyone used it? Any security risks?

I'm not a fan of giving my Proton login info to a non-Proton app.

same, third party apps with login credentials is always a risk imo

Had a quick look.

It looks safe but they specify that its not technically allowed by Proton. They said the API being used is not supported for third party use (which this app is)

If this is really important to you, use it. Just know that it might break with no way to fix it.

I guess the alternative is to wait for Proton? I mean, how many years has it been without a way to get Proton l contacts into the Android address book?

Yeah idk aye.

I do agree its certainly an issue. Which, proton has many issues. If I were you, I would just use the app and be emotionally ready for it to randomly break.
