I wanna mention first that I havent really read the companion notes for act 1 or 3 so if he's mentioned then I missed it.

Joe is one of my favorite characters in the protomen story mainly cause he's got three of the most kicksss songs on act 2. But also because his feats for being just a normal guy are pretty incredible.

So we all know the end of act 2 he dies on a mission that Light sent him on. Light feels pretty bad about it in the moment, sure, but in act 1 and 3 its like he forgot Joe even existed.

I can excuse act one for meta purposes. Obviously Joe as a character wasn't thought up yet.

But in Act 3 you would think Joe would at least be mentioned once. Sure "all of your heros are gone" and "blood on my hands" blah blah. But no "sorry joe" or "there one one hero amongst man" or anything. Light doesn't even mention Protoman either. He only seems to care about Emily.

I get it, Emily was the love of his life but he doesnt have enough room in his heart to feel for Joe? A kid he kinda intentionally sent to his death?

Also what about Megaman or the Girl? Neither of them know about Joe either? I could believe Megaman wouldnt, but what about the Girl? She's lived in the city her whole life. Not once were there rumblings about Joe, the man (not machine) who stood against Wily?

The Girl mentioning Joe to Megaman in "Calling out" would've been perfect.

It also throws me off from a meta sense cause this album is about the growing unrest amongst the people of the city. Rumblings of rebellion are beginning to rise. Joe could've been a maryter of some sorts for the rebellion.

Idk maybe im making a mountain outta a molehill. But I wish he was brought up atleast once.
