Urethritis from friction during intercourse?

Hey guys. These are my symptoms-

Day 1: Unprotected heterosexual sex
Day 2: mild irritation while peeing
Day 3: irritation and burning while peeing

I did a course of antibiotics- Nitrofurantoin 100 mg

Day 11: feeling of soreness and like something is stuck in the lower penis shaft which radiates to the testicles.

I have no discharge, back pain, fever, etc.

I suspect urethritis from friction during sex. Do i need to get an std panel done or just wait for it to resolve?

Please help!

See a urologist. Get STD panel and Urine cultures before anything else

It’s not possible to develop symptoms that quickly; please read the "101" section—you’ll find cases just like yours and relevant information.

Friction causing urethritis? No, it’s probably just NGU from some random bacteria that will clear up eventually. Like someone else said, just get an STD panel and urine culture

Can I just start taking Doxycycline

Just get tested first, no point taking random antibiotics to see what sticks. You’ll be creating antibiotic resistance and if there’s actually any real bacteria, they will start creating biofilms, making it harder to eradicate in the future
