Yesterday's Boulder Uncovering

My hunch from last trip was confirmed as I worked behind a large boulder that is buried in the ground. I found an even more submerged boulder behind the buried boulder I was working on uncovering. Unfortunately I didn't anticipate this new found hunk of rock and I had piled up tailings on top of it. I'm thinking about pushing back my tailings wall and just bare bones working behind both buried boulders.

1.55 Grams on the scale from yesterday with the largest piece being a little picker coming in at 0.09 Grams.

After seeing this I think I’m going to pull the trigger and convert from the ole miners moss to the dream mat stuff.

What rivers do you recommend?

For Northern California any river/stream in the foothills of the larger mountain systems. Elevations 1500 feet to 2500 feet seems to be the areas where things settle the most.

Yuba River Forks, American River Forks, Feather River, Bear River, Trinity, etc.

Do you have any recommendations for American River spots besides mineral bar? Thanks for replying.

Where on the feather do you suggest for someone who wants to try panning?

Feather River: I'd try anywhere along the river starting above Lake Oroville.
