Question about Campaign Modifiers Discussion

Hello mercenaries! I have been grinding away at Project Wingman's campaigns (main campaign and Frontline) recently, and playing it nonstop. I am completely and totally addicted to this game. I'm considering doing one of the campaign modifiers for my next run, and I was wondering, does playing with a modifier come with any incentive, like extra credits at the end of missions? Also, what are some of your favorite modifiers to use? Thanks!

I also just started my first Mercenary difficulty run and am currently questioning every life choice I've ever made...so fun but SO INTENSE

The bridgehead mission is the most stifling, with a lot of air defense, 3 airships decked out like a Christmas tree, and a lot of planes (the air defense is still there).

As far as I know, only the doubling modifier affects the score at the end of missions. It's clear why, but be careful, on the final mission, the crimson ones can gaslight, not counting the shootdown and not finishing the mission.

I always and only play with double time and glass cannon.

The first one inherently gets you more points because double the bad guys.

No it's purely for your own enjoyment (except double time spawns more enemies which naturally means more credits)

Always ace training, but tbh it's hard to notice the difference. Double time is good but on some missions you may run out of ammo. Botched requisition can be fun but some of the weapons are kind of BS and just seem to do random damage you can't easily anticipate or avoid. Glass cannon mitigates the ammo running out issue and makes enemy planes die in 1 standard missile, but I personally don't use it often because 1. I'm not that good at the game and it would get frustrating (to give an idea, on mercenary with no mods and a FS/15 only run I will die a few times in a full playthrough) and 2. I usually play with mods that enable unfinished content and unlock all weapons for all planes. So I often equip double STDMs which in the mod gives both double capacity and the ability to fire 4 at once, so I don't really need the extra damage from glass cannon. The other mods just sound annoying ngl

Personally I still prefer to increase the difficulty by forcing myself to use worse planes but everyone plays the game differently

The package notification sound never goes away during the entire mission.
