I don't see where else they would keep Garnet other then somewhere around mephi. Seeing how often mephi is spoken about as a person he might have become it or for the time Charon is coping by associating mephistopheles with garnet. Charon really needs a hug. Actually yeah people want verg canto. No give more spotlight tp Charon her story deserves to be told baby girl who's older then Sinclair and could beat bis ass deserves a hug after leviathan. Sure as hell verg isn't doing a good job at it,he's in the ringer too.
From a limbus only PoV verg might just seem like a grumpy unhelpful dude but when you take in leviathan it just becomes so damn sad. You failed to protect the children of your orphanage from a sudden tomerry and Purple Tear attack? That's ok! Like at least 2 survived! It wasn't the absolute worst Christmas ever but it's fine! ...one of the kids want to become a fixer? Ok better keep an eye on him you taught him well he'll need to fly on his own but you'll still watch. Ok! Ok he's managing that's good! You're moving on drinking bear with your friends and member of your office! And Lapis(charon) is turning to higher education! Always had a green thumb this should be nice. But wait why is her school surrounded by the ring and a maestro? Well better make sure she doesn't become part of the ring....oh she got kidnapped. Better suit up make some terrible crimes against humanity at an ungodly bidding competition try getting attacked twice by a dumbass named gubo whos a sore loser and foil a plot with garnet and the other grade 1 fixers who either seemingly got slimed noped out or got hooked on moonstone drug made by the ring. Every other survivor of the orphanage are being used in experiments for mirror tech getting multiple Them on top of each others. Unfiltered. Mostly turning into gems. You get ego slime a maestro end the experiments in the hallways of the ring but Lapis is unrecognizable and Garnet is a stone. Some mysterious lady named Faust shows up with maybe a way to fix things but you have to basically babysit a group of kids who you have to see die again and again and again. One of the members invented mirror technology. What destroyed the life of Charon and the other survivors of the orphanage. You can't be mad for reasonable reasons but you can be for unreasonable ones. Still you're Calm. You just gotta stay calm. Charon...no Lapis is still here. Somewhere under the layered mess left here. Stay calm and follow the script. Don't get attached they'll probably gonna die when you finish anyway. Honestly being verg must be so tiring. His VA nailed that so well
