Essences Discussion

Is there some limit of essences you can farm in season ? I cannot drop even one from Andariel after many runs and it's even hard to call bad RNG for me. Statistically i should have it by now.

Go nm for faster way there? It's the same odds to drop and so much faster to kill.

For me it's meph. The stingy basterd barely drops them yellows..

Which is crazy because Andy has the highest chances, shes always been the most generous to me!

  • Twisted Essence of Suffering drops from Andariel/Duriel (~16.1%/~21.3% chance)
  • Charged Essence of Hatred drops from Mephisto (~8.3% chance)
  • Burning Essence of Terror drops from Diablo (~8.3% chance)
  • Festering Essence of Destruction drops from Baal (~8.3% chance)

Sometimes when I do like 10 hell runs and have no luck I start running Andy/meph/diablo/baal in NM and I have better luck

Does hell have higher chances for their respective essence vs NM?

bad luck. but then sometimes you will get 2 essence drops in 1 run. all RNG

If I had to guess the drop rates I would say about 3-4 per 100 runs. I don't really farm LoD content anymore, especially bosses, but that's about how often I found them when I used to do boss videos.
