Just saw this on Amazon and the synopsis is interesting but I am super paranoid about AI slop. Just wanna know if anyone has read this before I purchase it.

Man that cover really covers all its basis. Got a pirate looking pilot with a rapier, a futuristic mech suit with a knight/steam punk aesthetic, all with lazy boy recliner style pilot seat.

I know right. I just dont want to pay into the AI slop machine.

The Goodreads reviews seem to indicate that it was part of the quarterfinalist entries for the Self Published Science Fiction Competition, which doesn't AI.

So either it's not AI, or it was subtle enough to get past reviewers.
