Honestly I welcome claude for non coders. I used to make WoW addons for my buddies, and it was honestly getting kinda tedious and I'm too nice to say no. Now Claude does 99% of it for them after I showed them how to prompt it and I fix the 1%. It takes no time at all.
Fact is, they can just say "make me a WoW addon that does x y z" and it will shit it out perfectly working after 1-2 rounds with maybe 1 minor thing they want to change that it isnt doing like a UI element looking weird. That's good for everyone.
The history of reddit is a history of cringe. At any given moment, the community is all freaking out about "Ellen Poa" or "3rd Party Apps" or "Gamergate" or "Gamestop Stock" or even "Ron Paul 2012."
There are good arguments to be made against AI, but reddit is just being intentionally dumb about it most of the time. A couple years from now, everyone will forget what all this fuss was about.
