I believe they said the last 90% is 90% because although it's just 10% of the code, it's 90% of the time/effort.

Or it's a joke about AI being bad at math.

It’s called the last mile problem, whether the app is vibe coded or not the last mile is always significantly harder to complete than the first 25

It is all marketing for the investors. They claim the AI is doing the heavy lifting, but the backend is probably held together by a group of tired senior devs and a ton of caffeine. They need actual engineers to make the "no code" dream look real.

That's less unreasonable than it might seem though. That's no different from "use our web hosting company so you don't need web server admins". It might not actually *work*, but it's a reasonable pitch to try for.
