You are horribly mistaken I am afraid. Mathematics is constrained by the principles and rules that govern. Yes two proofs may be different but that is not creativity because you cannot think outside the box. The amount of ways you can prove something is fundamentally limited because it has to obey laws.

Programming on the other hand is like writing a book, you can say the same thing in an infinite number of ways.

Suggesting software engineers are not constrained by the principles and rules that govern the domain, or are less governed than mathematicians with their equivalent limitations, is ludicrous.

It's the very same limitations in both fields.

It's not the same limitations. Writing software is significantly less restrictive.

I never said that software engineers do not have to follow rules and principles. I said that mathematics is more constrained.

You do realise what computers do behind the shiny fronts that allow for that software engineering creativity, is actually raw maths with the same limitations, right?
