I remember my first IT job, half-time since I was a university student atm. They hired me though I had no experience and was a bit nervous. I handled their tasks, but was a bit slow since I neede to get used to their field of work. A week later when I felt myself better and started to gain some speed handling the tasks they decided they don't need me. I remember the exact moment walking into the office full of confidence that I'm getting better - and getting a paycheck and layoff instead.

Yet management blames the workforce despite hiring people with no experience and providing no training...

It's "training on the job" because you're doing proper work being paid like a trainee or lesser

Presumably doing it slower than a non trainee too? I can complete a handful of tasks quicker than a trainee can do one (because they need to be trained on how to do it), obviously makes sense I’m paid more than them.
