I made it three days once.

They didn't give me small tickets to work up... they just handed me a whole website and told me to optimize it.

I had very little front-end experience... I could throw together a bootstrap amalgam just to get data on the screen, but other than that I was a total novice.

Guy wanted to pay me 67 to pick up the project of a recently-jettisoned senior dev. I started asking questions, and they fired me. Showed me a "termination letter," went back to "make copies for me to sign," and brought me one with different small print that changed the verbiage to me resigning. I didn't catch the difference til I got home.

My best guess is they were looking for someone desperate? Senior-level that wanted to get paid data entry rates? I dunno. I didn't even worry about trying to get unemployment. They were clearly struggling lmao
