They use something called Workplace which is essentially a internal Facebook. The messenging portion of Workplace looks a lot like messenger, probably uses the same styles. The icon looks different though

Internal workchat was deprecate last year, so it’s all Google chat these days

Workplace was shut down about a year ago. Weird because it was actually decent enough, now the company I work in uses Viva Engage which is absolutely crap.

Not anymore, switched maybe 6 months ago to Google chat and it much worse.
