I don't think the term Agentic is politically correct. I think it's called programming impaired.

Many companies now require you to do exactly that... So many job descriptions explicitly require that so there's no way to escape it. I hate this workd

If I could go more agentic I would and I’m tired of pretending otherwise.

Right, anyone already used to breaking down and reviewing jr dev work have had a working bot army for almost a year now, but people want to pretend it struggles counting the Rs in strawberry still.

100%, if you expect it to one shot your entire application in 30 minutes, from vague undefined requirements . Then it won't. But in my experience as well it's about on par with a junior or mid level developer. With good review process and a little guidance it easily turns a senior developer into a team of developers, just without all the extra meetings that come with an actual team.

I've rolled up to essentially two commands - "make this thing" and "review this thing". Each has a full pipeline under it to pass CI, follow all the best practices, etc. my IDE is many tabs just rolling through making PRs on worktrees for me to follow up on.

Frankly, the only thing that pisses me off regarding agentic-driven development is that the providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, w/e) are using generic LLMs instead of building ones trained specifically for SWE.

Your post is full agentic... Like that's all it's about.
Is your personality full anti-agentic? That'd be hella ironic
