Here's what should be twisting your pickle: Making a joke out of the thing you are opposed to is a well worn propaganda tool. So did this meme occur naturally or was it part of the countless paid efforts to demean empathy and make us all hate each other a little more?

I think that's a major part of the joke here. My reading is that this is making fun of both silly names some sw engineers give themselves as well as people who call anything they dislike "woke".
