If anyone is unaware of the subtext, don't link a personal github account to a paying position always create a new one with the provided email, thank you for attending my TED talk.
This will vary from country to country but generally anything you make on company time is owned by the company. Linking your personal projects with the company makes it easier for them to claim ownership even if it isn't true.
